Sheet Metal Worker Local 30 Toronto Canada, it's awesome looking at this vid and seeing that the material and equipment and methods way over there are identical to what we have and do way over here. It is a comfort knowing that my skills that I've honed over 30 years can be used without fail anywhere I deem to be. What a fantastic trade.

@@rogerhegemier8491wow incredible life story man I really admire the work and dedication. I am in Canadas one of top universities I had trade background in Stucco and Stone and now I’m 2 years into university thinking this is not my thing I wanna shift over to HVAC. Either technician or Sheet Metal. I would also love to know how you got your Son In Law started and what path of HVAC he took. Once again much love and respect to your life story with a short summary im sure lots more to share. Thanks sir!

Yea if you can't see let's say in 3D or read an isometric drawing its a lot of trouble for some people to grasp. I see you guys got the H/P oval duct. I started in 1979 in Biloxi,Miss Back then you had K,lock ,pocket lock, comp.Angle ,S an drive, slip joint and weld. My grandfather started in 1914 ship yard. Mobil Alabama. At. $1.25 an HR in 5yrs opened his own shop . It was amazing the patterns the man had.

Im an hvac tech but did install before. love building things but not so much fixing things. Im thinking about sheetmetal work, is it mostly ductwork or is there a lot of other things you guys do? And is it overall a smart move to make in my position? Thanks!

It’s more than just sheet metal bro… you can be a sketcher, welder, teacher at the hall, test & balancer… pipefitter, working at the shop. A lot more.
