Sheet Metal Worker Local 30 Toronto Canada, it's awesome looking at this vid and seeing that the material and equipment and methods way over there are identical to what we have and do way over here. It is a comfort knowing that my skills that I've honed over 30 years can be used without fail anywhere I deem to be. What a fantastic trade.

Yea if you can't see let's say in 3D or read an isometric drawing its a lot of trouble for some people to grasp. I see you guys got the H/P oval duct. I started in 1979 in Biloxi,Miss Back then you had K,lock ,pocket lock, comp.Angle ,S an drive, slip joint and weld. My grandfather started in 1914 ship yard. Mobil Alabama. At. $1.25 an HR in 5yrs opened his own shop . It was amazing the patterns the man had.

I’m a welder. Just started welding back in august and I just turned 20. So I’m new to the trade and trades in general. But I really want to get into a union. I just want to be apart of something where I’m not doing the same thing every day. I work in a production line building straight hopper trailers and man, this place sucks. It has a bad reputation with every welder around this area. Every welder I’ve heard talk about this company has never said anything good and from personally experience I can see why. But this union looks really interesting and u learn whole lot of new things every day. And welding is included to buy not just welding. I like that

@@rogerhegemier8491 I only lasted 3 months there lol hated that place now I’m at this place called Bluescope Buildings North America. I’m about to hit a year at that company on May 09. Started at $23.43 now I’m at $26.40 and possibly going to get my raise up to $27.51 if I meet all requirements. I haven’t thought about leaving since this place treats us like if it were a union. Shows appreciation and we have so many benefits and pays on the higher end compared to other places in my area
