Hey Duane, thanks so much for these informative videos. Your channel is 10/10. What book/manual is shown @ 6:46? Any recommended reading or other resources or books for an eager apprentice?

Hi Marc, The book that you are inquiring about is a textbook from the union apprenticeship program in level one and only available to union apprentices. We teach a mixture of union and nonunion sheet-metal workers in our classrooms, we use various textbooks but from my experience you should be looking for books from the following two two authors Leo A Meyer(Sheet Metal 2 edition) and Richard S Budzik (Today’s 40 most frequently used fittings)

Which model Ductmate cleat was used in the installation demonstration? Can it also be used on a TDC/TDF or is it only used for the Ductmate flange?
@sheetmetalwork3 жыл бұрын
Ductmate 25 is what i used, It means the ductmate width is 25mm or 1”. The corners do the same function, but are different.

S cleats always install long side of the duct. Drive cleats always install short side of ducf

Yes, Most of the time 👍🏻

S cleats 1inch shorter than duct size Drive cleats 2incg longer than duct size

That’s my preference, but some may use a slightly longer S.
