Helpful hint when doing drywall buy the cheapest brightest red color lipstick from the dollar store and rub it around the electrical box. Then simply press the drywall against it. It will precisely mark the area to be cut out. I love seeing you overcome all the challenges & obstacles of building off grid in Alaska! You guys are doing an amazing job while making precious memories.

@@ouralaskahomestead I'm with you 100% on that one for those reasons also, plus you do a lot of it on your own whilst Chandras at work. What "metal" are you considering exactly ??? And with your bull at a gate approach to life Craig, I'm sure you'll find metal a far better fit for your temperament and the results will be much more pleasing to the eye. Nothing worse than living with results that give you the "tom-tits" b'cos you weren't able to exercise the patience necessary to make it aesthetically perfect. I was looking at those interior walls you did, and was thinking... damn , I'd get one wall completely finished then move on to the next one, b'cos the constant rearranging of furniture, moving possessions etc backwards and forwards would drive me over the edge. Patience is DEF NOT my finest point either, LOL 😱😱🤣🤣🤣🤗🙏💞 Great job on the walls thus far mate. You're a dark good couple working together .💞🙏🤗✌️👍👌

If you put red lipstick. All around the electric box and put the sheetrock up on it where it needs to go then press hard. Then take it down and turn it. You will see the electric box line where to cut. No guessing.

Look at a 120V mig welder. Many brands available. You can use flux core wire, although solid core with gas is better, but no need for all that to get started. Get some scrap steel and practice! Many KZbin videos to look at for guidance. In MHO, tongue and groove pine would look best. Keep on keeping on, you are doing fine!

well to state welding you should start with CO2 and Acetylene welding with thin metal to learn to make a pool and control it and weld to pieces together and once you a master of different gas welding tech then you go to stick welding and the mig and tig but it very hard start at a stick and a lot people do there just not going to be great welders
