I don’t know if people realize how difficult it is to film in that cold of temperatures. Getting so many shots while on the move and having to take care of so much gear and then living in a cabin where there’s always more to be done. It’s a handful to say the least. Then the gourmet meals on top of it! Respect.

One of the best things about your channel is that you actually put the whole trip in one video. You don't post 10 minutes of it and say "alright guys that's it for this video. Tune in next week and subscribe so you don't miss the rest of the trip!" Love you two. You are a great example of a healthy and loving relationship. With great work ethic and pride in what you do! Stay warm out there!

Love the use of the mason jar ring as a biscuit cutter, very clever multi-use! Also, kudos to the two of you for not actually swearing most of the time in all the years I've been watching you. It's rather wholesome and cute, listening to the two of you "swear" with words like "dangit!" and "gosh!" and I find it delightful. (I am also slightly envious, as I would have a harder time restraining my language.)

Whenever I see your landscapes, I am reminded of this piece of poetry that I recited at my father's funeral 38 years ago. It was written by a man from my father's home town of Preston in north west England. "It's the great big broad land way up yonder" A powerful description, brought to life by your videos. Thank-you. There’s gold, and it’s haunting and haunting; It’s luring me on as of old; Yet it isn’t the gold that I’m wanting So much as just finding the gold. It’s the great, big, broad land ’way up yonder, It’s the forests where silence has lease; It’s the beauty that thrills me with wonder, It’s the stillness that fills me with peace. Robert W. When you get a bounty of them, find out how the natives do dried fish with the strips of pike. You will NOT be disappointed. Best dried fish I've ever had! 'Oh my gawd, it's a FATTY!' As an avid angler and in pursuit of the elusive cutthroat trout (in only a few hidden places in the Sierra), rainbows, and German Browns, I rarely get to say that! A few trophy trout at Butt Valley Reservoir (35" avg) and so excited I almost flipped a kayak. You are living the dream! Dutch baby looked amazing; y'all need a couple of splashes of bourbon in that eggnog. Takes the chill off around the edges. Thank you, as always, for the adventure! Hugs from California where it is freakin' storming right now! ;-)

Hey youngin’s, Rev. Paul again Eustis Florida. As kids (little brother & l) my dad would put dirt/sand in a metal 5 gal bucket with diesel lighting in it just under the top as close as you can get it anyway. That would last us for hours while ice fishing. Good memories I’m 71 yrs old having lived through the 1964 earthquake and lived to tell the tale. Chased by a rampant grizzly at 12 having to jump off a shale cliff in mountains of Denali to stay alive. Hallelujah I made it, heels and elbows is all you could see with me running back to camp cut up, bruised and wet. Running across the river. God is good y’all.

Eric and Arielle, you make me laugh so much about your fishing astonishments, so much excitement. However, at -40 no thank-you, you are courageous and am glad you got good catches.....cheers 🐟🐟🐟🇨🇦

Your excitement over Eric’s successful ice fishing makes me smile and feel very happy for you two! The COLD…FRIGID TEMPERATURES DIDN’T hinder your fun fishing day! Thx for sharing the realities of the harsh environment you’ve been in and your warm, cozy cabin layout and excellent wood stove. I always love the food you bring, prep and cook. The Dutch baby baked in your covered Dutch Oven on top of that stove turned out well..Great toppings! Keep doing what you have been doing! Appreciate you both. Blessings. Susan

Lake Hayward Wisconsin.2005? My dad and 4 of his best friends. Dad caught the record Pike for that year It is proudly on display here at home 42 inches !! I have some pictures but no video The coolest part is that the youngest Guy on that trip was 76 years old. They were all acting like teenagers. There all gone now. God bless them.

I absolutely love watching this Chanel, I love how you take us along on your trips. I love the hearty meals you cook to. The two of you are so inventive. You utilise everything. Bo and Bandit are so well treated and the meals you give them are great. I can’t wait for you to start your garden again. Keep the videos coming.

Talk about extreme cold ice fishing you guys take it to another level.. I have ice fished at North Bay Ontario in -30C with no wind, thankfully, and at night it was like walking on the moon

I am not a native of Minnesota, but lived there for 38 years. In Minnesota they call the fish you were catching “Northerns”. I don’t eat fish, but the residents always said that the “Northerns” had a lot of small bones in the meat. By the way the most prized fish in Minnesota was “Walleye”, and the most prized part of the fish was the cheeks.

I live in Miami....where it's warm year round and I don't go fishing half as much as you two...who weather freezing temps and breaking thru ice, and carrying tents and heaters....OMG!!!! You are INCREDIBLE!! And Eril....you cook better in a "non" kitchen than I do in my completly stocked one! You two really blow my mind!!! Great looking fish!!!!

Hi Gaylene again. From my time farming, if we connected more fencing to the same charge, we found the charge wasn't as strong. Yes, keep everything. I had a shed with odds and sod's and it saved my butt many a time. Happy Fall
