Interesting to see the changes thanks for the video. Bit of a different opinion, but i see the positives here. The busy two lane road has always previously been busy and difficult to cross. Everyone was always trying to get into one lane during rush hour so reducing it by one lane hasn't made a huge difference in my opinion. I like the grey to green as it makes the area easier to get around on foot. I know as I used to work in one of the buildings nearby, it was terrible then. I'm hopeful the changes will help encourage investment and help connect the area to the city centre better. It's come a long way from being pretty much the red light district around 20 years ago! Scotland Street used to be really grim!

18 million for a problem that wasn't there. Barnsley Council were also considering it, one of the busiest in town for once they decided against it. They are as bad as Sheffield Council for making roundabouts worse by tampering. We have Stairfoot, Birdwell, Cundy Cross and Pogmoor gyratory, each one made worse by their tinkering, and usually well over budget and time. There will no doubt be a review in a couple of years and some more traffic lights added if anything else.

In comparison Barnsley is the best town centre, still has flower beds etc. But not great for driving in as I decided to come on the train last time to document.

There is no maintenance on the Grey to Green. It is specially chosen plants and shrubs that will survive with little or no maintenance and the idea is "Survive or die". A small group of volunteers does litter picking. 😮

Dutch roundabout, accidents waiting to happen. You crossing the road on the zebra crossing and that Tesla stops right on it says it all. The only decent looking building there is emergency service museum.
