My father took some Super 8mm film footage of Sheffield in the early 1980's. I thought it would interesting to see how things have changed.

+IFIRIEIEIFOIRIM Me too, Hackenthorpe village, absolutely great memories, I love talking to my grandad about the area as he was born and raised around the same area from 1942 onwards, I moved to America two years ago but I still love Hackenthorpe and the surrounding areas

Now that Debenhams is gone, I suspect the only people who go down The Moor now are Markets customers.

Sheff would be the 2nd biggest city in England if the surrounding land would have been good enough to build on without a doubt

+Micky Morton No it is at Hackenthorpe, but yes it does look like the bottom of Gleadless Road when it meets Leighton Road.

I shudder at the thought of going into Sheffield,like London its a hole a maze and full of council camera traps to generate revenue.No thanks!
