Definitely the silverware ! And the beeswax candles; I am a big collector of silverware, I have several sets and as you I think it is also beautiful when it is mismatched, and look very beautiful on a festive table. (Pottery barn had some of those mismatched silverware sets in the past that were beautiful, but unfortunately they decided to replace that with modern crap…)

Those crystal saucers are actually bobeche’s . They are used for chandelier lights, and they are also use for candles to catch the dripping at the wax.I really enjoy your videos! Your home is so lovely!

I collect vintage & antique double/triple candle holders & I have yet to find any of those to use w my holders. I have my crystal pieces ready to go though! lol I could always go online, but I'd rather find my pieces "in the wild". Just takes patience 😉

Back in the fifties my mother would use old wooden curtain rings as picture frames. She would find small paintings or prints, cut them to the round shape and then glue them to one side of the wooden ring. She then would tie a sweet ribbon through the brass hook and hang them in my bedroom. I loved them.

I look for anything that makes my eyes happy and makes my soul smile! Vintage goodies that speak of a time when things were simpler but appreciated more. Doilies and embroidery pieces made with such care, a worn but still lovely quilt, lace tablecloth, old aprons, oil lamps, milk glass, old mixing bowls and old wooden utensils, old records, etc. Simply the loveliest things!

I'd love to find some oval frames like the one you found. I have my parents, brother, and my silhouettes from the 70's. They look the same sz as yours so finding frames is a bit more of a challenge.

Those glass bowls are from candelabra's. I have been watching a sight that are redoing them. it is part of each light. when I was in grade school they did our silhouettes. Not sure who did them , but I remember mine because I had a pony tail. Thanks for today. I would love to go into that first shop. Looked wonderful. thanks Joyce

In chatting with people that gets their silhouettes from me, I have heard quite a few of them say that they had them made in grade-school. I think that would be a precious family Heirloom. I hope your family still has yours! ☺️

I remember back in mid 70s we had the silhouette done in class. We taped paper to white wall, were paired up and drew the shadow cast by light onto the paper of each other. It was souch fun.

I gathered vintage serving utensils for the sweets table at my daughter’s wedding. I purchased them all from thrift stores (inc Goodwill). It was a beautiful table. ❤

Those small glass items you have, are called "boubeches". check my spelling - They catch drips on taper candles.

What a fabulous stash, Sarah! I squealed when I saw those small glasses with the hobnail bottoms. I bought them years ago (not for $48) and my grandkids love using them! I love silver items and have quite a collection. I look for Wright's Silver Polish at estate sales so I can brighten them up. ❤ your new lamp is perfect for that spot....that shade! Gorgeous!

Recently I’ve been looking for dog photos and art. The oval frames... I found a pair in a deep blue recently. I bought a vintage clothes brush and a wood shaving soap bowl. And I’m decorating with shellacked acorns I picked up at the park. My friend calls it “the acorn tree. “ In her honor, ill frame an oak leaf! Love your wheat and all your finds.

Not pretty, but practical for gifting flowers are large thrifted travel mugs. I love to send people home with flowers from my garden when they come to visit me. Travel cups and mugs allow me to gift them a decent sized bouquet in a way that is easy for them to transport home without spilling in their car. When they get home they can pop the bouquet in their own vase or I can send a vase with them separately.

It was a treat to come along with you. Great finds! You help me value, and use more purposely, some of the lovely items I have been given, and inherited. I have some lovely serving pieces. I look for cache pots, frames, books, linens, needlepoint, bookends, dishes, vases,lanterns, and garden things.

I love Snohomish! We actually lived at the end of First street in an apartment for a year, while my husband built our house. Now we’re in Leavenworth, but I go back to visit about once a month to see my kinds, and friends. Do you ever go to Fabulously Frugal? It’s the thrift store on 2nd. It doesn’t look much from the outside, but I have found some of my very favorite things there. It’s sometimes hit or miss, but when it hits, it’s amazing! Also, Monroe has some great thrift stores! The goodwill is one of the best I’ve ever been to, and they have a St. Vincent Du Paul there that always has tons of vintage.

I’m new to your channel and was surprised to hear you talk about Snohomish! I live about 30 miles south of Seattle but my folks live in Granite Falls, just north of Snohomish. We are in the area often and have been in Snohomish many times. Do you also live in the area? I enjoyed how peaceful your video was. It is a nice reprieve from the noise and chaos of the world today. Love anything equestrian. Oil paintings, prints, fabric and blue and white serving pieces. Also a plaid fanatic! Love silver and brass. English country is my go-to!

My favorite of your finds is the birdcage. I have found several and enjoy putting seasonal floral decor inside them with a bird on top of the cage. Freedom. One person placed a small Christmas tree, faux snow and a small vintage Santa inside.

Bobeches. They are pretty and useful. Yours have a much larger cup for catching t h e wax. I wonder if they were intended for the very large candelabra used in churches.

I have a similar lamp in a more antiqued brass with an off-white linen shade. It was purchased new from Ethan Allen about 30 years ago. Not sure if you could find one similar looking into vintage EA lighting? An idea....

Just a suggestion, you could remove the lacquer from your beautiful new lamp and let it tarnish naturally. I’ve done this a lot and it’s simple. Just rub it with lacquer thinner until all the laquer is removed. I can’t believe you are considering getting rid of those beautiful bobeches . They would look so wonderful on a double sconce.

I love This And it's beautiful I just have some friends and family that would snub Their noses towards an old used ware for eating 😢 I personally think a bit of bleach And Dawn dish soap hot water Will clean and be Just fine 😂 We all have our preference and beliefs Anyone May answer a suggestion And thought Love meeting New people And ideas Have a great Day!
