What I always found amazing about the story of Joe and Steve is that they were both KIDS. Joe was a kid who not only had incredible talent but he had a passion and ability to TEACH. What a great human being.

So, so, SO great to see these two guys, that have known each other for 50 years, that both ended up being two of the most incredibly talented guitarists around is fantastic. Love them both, seen Joe countless times live over 4 decades, and Steve many times too, I'm so glad I was born when I was.

Both of these gents were music teachers for me in my formative years. I remember reading an article by Satriani in Guitar player magazine on expanding chord knowledge and he specifically used the first 3 or 4 strings all up the neck with funky choppy chords like Prince and Nile Rodgers would use, and to this day I still search for those magic combos.
