If her death removed his responsibility of paying past child support that he owed, that is significant motive. The crime was well planned. Who else would have that kind of motive?

Yes, the program fails to tell the audience she had spiralled into drug and alcohol abuse with her ex husband at one time. She had fully rehabilitated herself and was currently in court with him regarding child support when she got murdered. Although she was rehabilitated, providing for her financially might have not been useful.

@@virg0_lem0nade Yes, I hear and understand your point. However, it was established that Sheila had died that day (the day of the fire) because she had got her children off to school that morning. True, it was first called an Accident by the Fire Marshal but 9 months later it was changed to Homicide based I believe, in part, on the Coroner's report. However, regardless of how she died or who was responsible, she still died on the 6th of January, 2004 and the blurring of the tombstone date remains a mystery. Also, saturn's rings, on her tombstone, what looks to be the year of her graduation from Murray State is also blurred out. Dec.12th is visible but the year is blocked out. It's just so odd ... I don't know either!

So her parents paid 100k for a private investigator, really? Then why they couldn’t give their daughter and grandchildren money for the utilities, so they can use the whole house and stop using propane heater, what a shame! You watching your child and grandkids living in one room, but after Sheila died they pay 100K ??? Don’t get it as a parent

@@clevername8832 there’s also another case here in Maysville about a murder of Chandra turner. Crime watch daily covered that case. The suspects dad is a well known lawyer in Paul’s valley (where I live now) about 7 miles away from Maysville. There were tons of cover ups within law enforcement to help the suspect just because his dad is Rennie, a top lawyer in our small town. Check out that case. It’s sad.

Same thing could happen to her ex husband in that town and county. They would also say there is no evidence. People need to uphold the law. What a debacle. All the law enforcement people involved should be ashamed of themselves. What a joke they are. An embarrassment to law enforcement everywhere. First thing, People there need to get the DA out of office. Second thing get rid of the Fire Marshal. Obviously incompetence or criminal actions by Fire Marshal and law enforcement.

If the journalist didn’t rush them like a linebacker they’d probably get more answers. I’ve noticed that when they act sympathetic towards them they get more answers. Do you really think they are going to admit they killed someone to you? Come on now! I don’t think her ex had anything to do with it. She said her special friend. Highly doubt she would of called her ex her special friend. They need to find out who that is. They couldn’t go through her phone records? Sounds like the ball was dropped when they wasted 6 months saying it was an accident when it wasn’t. They should of treated it like a homicide right away. Oh and if I were dead from a murder I wouldn’t want my parents spending 100k of their retirement money on finding my killer. I’d want them to be happy and love their lives. It’s very selfless and loving of them. But they are in their golden years. I hope they find peace. Live their lives and try to be happy.

Yea that's bs. I'm a firefighter. We (almost) never call out the electric company to turn off power for structure fires; we turn it off at the meter ourselves. The only time would be for downed powerlines, etc. Not a structure fire. So he definitely told a stupid lie here.
