TIME Magazine named Caitlin Clark Athlete of the Year for 2024. BET Co-Founder Sheila Johnson just said that TIME should not have named one person but instead, should have named the whole WNBA. A few months ago her former network, BET, named Angel Reese Sportswoman of the Year for 2024. Why didn't she say that BET should have named the whole WNBA? Someone please ask her this. I had heard that Caitlin would be playing against grown women in WNBA. My question is at this point, where are they? If there’s so much talent out there that’s unrecognized, then every player should have gotten the MVP award in the league and not just Aja Wilson, going along with what she said about Clark that she should not have gotten the award. Next the league will have her give it back. So, my question remains. Where are the women in this league. I see grade school girls having a hissy over one player because she’s good and not one of color. Oh wait causation is a color. It’s just not the right for the league. Time for Clark to leave and send the league back to where it was before she came.

Clark set the WNBA on fire in the 2nd half of 2024. In the first half of 2024, Clark was busy setting womens college basketball on fire, leading her team to the championship game and setting viewership records. Therefore, according to Sheila Johnson's feeble mind, the front cover of Time should not only feature the WNBA but also all of WCB. Clark was a beacon for the game of basketball (some would say male and female basketball) and a genuine role model. No other WNBA player was even remotely qualified to share centre stage with Caitlin Clark in 2024.

Why would you showcase the entire WNBA after the way they acted like a bunch of pick me (s)?!? Jealousy and hatred should not be showcased ...EVER. Caitlin deserves all of her praise and the room to enjoy it!

Hello! She also set the college basketball world on fire. It is pretty obvious the recognition came down to her and a guy named Otani. And l don't hear anything from Asian Americans about white privilege.

Angel Reese is not talented on the basketball court as much as Caitlin Clark is , Angel Reese is not bringing prospects to the Wnba, Angel Reese is utter GARBAGE on the court & not to mention stat padding on her own rebounds , CAITLIN CLARK deserves every accolade & every AWARD she receives !!

Clark has single handedly saved the WNBA. ( At least temporarily) You'd think the players and owners would appreciate that.

Correction: Sheila Johnson is not THE owner of the Washington Capitals, Wizards, and Mystics. They are all owned thru Monumental Sports & Entertainment of which Ted Leonsis is the majority owner. She is a co-owner of the Mystics with Leonsis and has a minority ownership share of The Capitals and Wizards.

I wish CC would leave W to see how it turns out for the W.😂

I was skeptical of CC early on because of her high turnover numbers. But she seemed to get a lot of that fixed as the season wore on. CC definitely deserves the hype and not just because of the numbers. Its about the eyeballs. Massive uptick in attention to the sport when the Fever were playing. WNBA topics trending on social media multiple times per week during their season. I don't recall anything like that ever happening before. These women in the WNBA just do NOT want to accept her, and it might ruin their league. Its already caused a ton of damage to a league that still has yet to ever turn a profit.

I watched wnba because of Caitlin. Never before I watched it. And since she was out of playoff I turned off the wnba. I will watchbit because of her. Now this owner is dumb and this is the only thing I like about jerry jones, that he looks what is best for the league, and he wont shoot himself on the butt killing the golden girl. More money for the league=more money to everybody
