A fantastic piece of comic acting from both of them. The details of behaviour they put into their performances is incredible. She was one of those faces that you remember from growing up in the 70s and had forgotten about until I saw the sad news that she had passed away. Not much makes me laugh these days but this was a piece of pure comedic magic and reveals so much about the depth of acting needed to pull this sketch off.

It takes great talent to clown about on stage and to sing flat in such a way, but Popsy Wopsy did this so successfully, aided and abetted by Leonard Sachs and a grinning Bernard Herrman. She has a truly impish sense of humour which kept firing even when she was not on stage, and I remember this, every time I see her on stage. Thank you.
