You know I love chatting about all things Korean Fashion, so I wanted to review Shein's k-fashion line 'DAZY'.
I've done a couple of Shein hauls in the past and while I was initially impressed with the quality for the affordable pricepoint, more recently I've found that it's more "reality" than "expectation" and it isn't worth the money. Let's see how Shein's Korean fashion line stands up to some of the korean fashion I've bought from brands like Chuu and Yesstyle.

I have to say as someone who sews and knows just a little about natural fibres and the such. Cotton, specifically 100% cotton, normally means the plant has been spun into string and then woven into a fabric, this is why cotton in breathable, its holey. You can tell if something is cotton by tugging at the fabric, does it shift like a woven fabric or not. You can tell cotton by attempting to burn it, like sticking it NEAR a flame, non cotton fabrics like polyester are plastic and will melt near flame, cotton is a plant and will set fire and burn. OBVIOUSLY don't set fire to your clothes but its a good test. Normally when they have clothes on Shein that are %100 cotton, the cloth may be made of %100 cotton but they treat and stretch the cotton with chemicals to make it less see through (so less cotton can go further and make more clothes) , but if you fill the holes in with chemicals, you lose the breathability. Also yes they can legally sell it as %100 cotton because no other "fabric" was used.

Honestly I actually love that you focus on the fabric/material! As I've gotten older I'm not as willing to sacrifice comfort for cuteness. So it's really nice to hear your honesty about what an items actually feels like to wear!

i personally feel like it’s okay for fashion content creators to shop at fast fashion stores. because with reviews people are less likely to buy garbage that they’ll throw out and instead can make more informed decisions. but then again they do get influenced into buying those items in the first place. it’s a double edged sword but i don’t have any ill will toward creators who make videos about these sites because it does help other people.

It happened the same to me. I ordered a few times from Shein, because it was cheap and I heard good things about it. And the first time, the quality felt pretty good for the price, but I feel like it's getting worse each time I order. I ordered around three to four time, and I won't do it again. Now that I can actually afford something better, I'd rather spend a bit more on a piece I can try on and see how it feels, because it'll save me money on the long run.

i feel like this is kind of a you problem. its clear clothing is enhanced on the site to look good (as is with many retailers), but most of the items look really similar on you actually. not only that, but the way you talking about looking like a “randomly generated” character; if the shirt was better quality or nicer would that be any different? i think its unfair to criticize the clothing when its pretty obvious its just your dislike for how that piece looks aesthetically.

if you're going to go for shein you literally have to read all the reviews to know whether the product is going to be good or you have to size up/size down etc. I've done that with all the orders I've made from them and all my items have been good quality

agreed! it's a lot of work to shop from them since you have to review pictures, understand fabrics, and be really in tune with what styles look good on a model vs. what actually looks good on you. but when you put in the effort, most of your pieces turn out alright :)

I feel like I must get lucky with Shein. I hated the quality of my first 2 orders years ago. I gave it another shot this past 2 years and I absolutely love 95% of the stuff that I order. I have so many belts, headbands, hair clips that I wear everyday. For a dollar or 2, I really get my use out of the products. I've also really enjoyed some of their clubwear sets, fuzzy lounge sets, crop tops, cotton tees & I have 3 pair of jeans from shein that fit me better than any pair of jeans I've bought in my 27 years. Don't even get me started on their swimsuits. I own at least a dozen. Sorry your order wasn't as expected, but Shein can be very hit or miss! Good on you for reading the material details. I try to study the images & reviews to imagine if the item would feel good & look good. I know you just said you're done with Shein, but I would enjoy watching you review some of the comfy lounge sets / at home leisure wear that Shein sells. I'd like to hear whether you find the "comfortable" sets comfy, or scratchy, cheap, etc. Any who, enjoyed the video as always Lucy!

The size inclusiveness.... being a size aus24 ... I love Shein.. I love the variety of patterns and colours...and the low prices.. unlike "plus size" shops out there....where colour and pattern is apparently not a thing for big girls 🙄... and if there is... then it is $$$$...

@@ewoma8234 Clothing is incredibly cheap to make, what is expensive is the mark up on the prices. What you're paying is for the brand itself, or for claims of susteinability which are not always truthful. The discorse around Shein is mostly classist, it is no worse to the environment or to its workers than any other brand out there, even the luxury ones.

It IS giving pre-generated sim, but the purple top and blue jeans would fit in perfectly in Korea, I've seen people wear almost that exact same outfit lol. but actually being comfortable in your clothes is the most important!

I think the problem is that u bought just things that looks pretty, No for you, body type and form. (things that fit me properly will not fit the same as my sister, we have different body shapes) Sol is more of a problem for buying things that do not sue you. I always buy stuff in there and had no problem, I read the specifications and also the buyers' experience with it, especially the pictures since they are not professionally fixed.

I had really high expectations for the DAZY line at first because of the XL option, but the XL is like a size 8 max…i wish i could find better resources for affordable Korean fashion that is plus size (I’m a size 12)

For shopping at Dazy, sizing up is a better option. The reason why it’s a better option is because Asian sizes usually run small.

I've tried DAZY briefly and it really is pretty hit or miss. I kept one skirt and the top I ordered felt like cardboard lol. But I love that long skirt you got!! I'm quite temped to get it. That dress at the end is SO cute! If only they used nicer fabric for the cute cuts.

Actually waiting on a shein order atm 😅. But to be fair i never bother with clothes, I mainly use shein for jewellery, random lifestyle and accessories. At least with these items I actually have had really good experiences and when it comes to earrings I never spend much money as I am always loosing them.

I appreciate the try. I am about Lucy's size (way shorter though) so I usually cannot fit into Korean clothing. I literally have an older shirt (maybe thrifted?) that says XXXL, which by the way it fits me is probably an American size 6. Countries have made sizing a weird and wacky experience.

I ordered with fair regularity from shein and I find the quality to be very hit or miss - I did try DAZY a little with a cardigan, as I'm in the USA where it's cold as hell rn, but it's so itchy and just the slightest bit too small, I feel like I can't pull it from my closet again. maybe when it warms up.

I got a top from DAZY that I actually really liked but after one wash (a cold hand wash cycle) it shrank beyond repair. Super disappointing, I would much rather thrift for cheap clothes or shop at online stores with easier return policies.

I got like 2 items from the day, and they fit, but it is def smaller than normal sizing. I got a black crop top and it fit more like and so it stop mee from ordering their pants since I'm def have more hips. I just only get things on shein that have good reviews or look st material to make sure it will be good
