As an American, I always love an Autobhan video. It's a pleasure to see people who understand, and better yet, actually practice, the concept of "slower traffic, right lane".
@tombellows4167 Жыл бұрын
True. But the us has a speed limit. So it's not like you can speed like that anyway. Maybe you can go 10 mph faster that the slow lane here in the US, but there you could be going double the slower lane, so there's a real reason for the slower lane drivers to actually stay in that slow lane otherwise they die in a hurry along with all the other oncoming crazies.

@@tombellows4167 There's no such thing as a slow lane; there are driving lanes and passing lanes. If you aren't passing, keep right.

@@tombellows4167 Regardless, the law in the US is that you stay in the right lane except to pass. But people like to sit in the left lane anyway and refuse to get over...the semi truck bumps in the right lane are super annoying and def don't help with that.

Especially so when it comes to driving in California for gods sake!!! People are unconsciously driving in your way, and sometimes even intentionally slow in the fast lane, whilst drifting. I view it as an annoying obstacle course!
@A.J.1656 Жыл бұрын
@@tombellows4167 I've reached a top indicated speed of 167mph and held a continuous speed over 110mph for about 10 minutes on US interstate highways. I only had to slow because I was on a naked motorcycle without earplugs and the wind noise was brutal. You can speed like that if you're on the right road. There are places where you can see for miles ahead and the only way you wouldn't see law enforcement is if they are in an aircraft. Interstate 80 west of Salt Lake and Interstate 10 through New Mexico are usually pretty open. I did get stopped in my Mustang doing over 90mph on I-10 but the officer issued a warning, told me where the other highway patrol cars ahead were. He said to keep it at the speed limit until I passed them then I could "open it back up". Haha

That VW at 2:58 was damm fast! Edit: by the way, that 6th gear.... I thought the engine was going to die at 270km/h... I don't know but seems to me that with a lower ratio it could go faster with no problems. Just my 10 cents.

The Troc just did casual 180-200kph, I see Luxury Limousines fly by my window at 250 every time traffic allows on the autobahn

Its so high because its made for cruising not top speed. You don t want with that exhaust on the highway to rev in your head for over 200 miles

Si el VW Debería ir al menos a unos 200 km/h le dió algo de pelea jejeje

Fuel economy gear. I think that is the one with the overdrive 5th gear, "double" overdrive 6th, 0.75 and 0.5, something like that.
@Zerbey Жыл бұрын
It's an overdrive gear, for when you're cruising on the highway at 70 not having fun on the autobahn!

Everyone: So what did you do today? This guy: oh nothing, just went out on the AutoBahn and topped out a gt350 and got paid for it. Everyone: I hate you.... I need to see that video.

He didnt even top out the gage says 330 I want to see 330. Bc there is no way he was going 200+ at 270.
@frankd21114 жыл бұрын
@@lockonstratos7787 .... he was losing speed in 6th gear. That thing was topped. If the gauge said 8,000, do you think he could go 8,000? It’s not all about the gauges.smh

Nice reminded me of taking my ninja motorcycle to 160 mph. Did it all the time. 1980’s. Drove a BB512 at 150 mph.

Manual transmission 👍
@dumpsterdiver20694 жыл бұрын
Don’t know where you’re from but all you people commenting about ‘a manual’ are living in the wrong place cause we don’t play that limp-wristed automatic crap in our sports specialty cars here in Murica’! It’s 6 spd manual or bust here! Except for shamefully, the new GT500 with that god-awful 7 spd DCT auto! Can you believe Ford is actually producing that gem of a car WITHOUT a manual option?!?! It’s criminal and they should be ashamed!
@thomasdaum19273 жыл бұрын
Imagine how much faster it would have been with a 10 speed auto ! And you can keep both hands on the wheel !
@Matt-mh5ud3 жыл бұрын
@@dumpsterdiver2069 The 7 speed in the GT500 IS a manual transmission with auto shifting. It has a dual clutch, synchronized meshing gears, shift forks, etc. Tear one down, you'll not notice that it's an automatic until you look over the electronics; almost all the strengths of a traditional manual with many of the downfalls of a traditional autotragic nonexistent. Regardless, I'd still rather it be something I can shift with a lever, not the paddle nonsense.

For car noobs out there, the top speed is kinda low cause this beast isn’t meant for top speed. It’s ,meant for corners.

In a Mustang really? I think it‘s meant for killing the tires and scaring people on the sidewalk with it‘s sound.
