When I worked at Barne’s and Noble we had one on display that we could use as an example and since it had to always be on and creating something the staff got to have tons of fun with it! We made a full set of chess pieces which was exciting- I’ll say that 3D printers definitely could make gift giving easier. Just design and print the perfect gift !

Well I think we should move more in this direction. It would make shopping a lot easier. How many times are you running all over town, trying to find like the exact thing you need? For example, take a doormat. I had to run all around town recently to find the right color, size, pattern, etc. Lots of items had one, but not the other thing, I wanted. None had it all. So with more customization, you can order the exact thing you want.

This is so encouraging! I’ve been wondering when this will become more popular, I’m curious if there’s specific classes you can take to get to this level with design and then the printing too!

clear co are a debt facility for ecom stores. diff to a bank. up to 12% flat fee premium for inventory and 6% for marketing. no compounded interest. defs geared towards start ups. larger stores or established businesses should be able to get an overdraft facility from a bank at 3%-5% compounded or less. the premium clear co charge is because of the risk of start ups and the convenience of them giving it to an ecom platform quickly. good business model

We use a commercial 3D printing company that has about 10 machines of various sizes that can 3D print prototypes in a few days. I design products for a living using 3D modeling software. Now with the introduction of table top units like those in this video the average technically inclined person can learn how to use them. I in particular don't use them because I would lose too much time baby sitting the machines, maintenance, ordering filament and support material, plus trying to design everything as well. So , I use 3D print service companies for all those activities. This frees me to focus on my specialty which is product design. 3D printing is extremely useful in many industries today.
