First of all: Gregory, you did a great job on this video! Editing and probably also the camera, very nicely done! Second: I've been a viewer from the very beginning and I think it's absolutely amazing how Shelby has developed since the first video. Who doesn't still have the little jumping jack in front of our eyes, who was jumping through the videos in the first videos. No offense meant, it was funny to watch. But after the loooong break, a new Shelby has come back and she is much calmer, more serene and I think the new videos after this break benefit massively from that. I also think it's extremely great that Shelby has realized that she doesn't need to keep her fans with tight outfits and make-up like so many other youtubers, but that her fans are into the content of her videos, the landscape shots, the sights, the little tips and tricks for trucker life, her thoughts on so many things. And that's why it's no problem at all that the videos are published with longer breaks in between, because her viewers are patient because they know they're getting exactly the quality content they subscribed to this channel for. Great message. It is very hard to get out of the truck when traveling after long days. But getting out always helps. I think you hit the nail on the head as to why you like trucking, and it resonates with my thoughts. The small goals you hit all day every day are a tremendous boost. I always wondered what pulled me to the industry, and I think that is it, too. Keep up the great work and be safe.

It did this to me. I took one of my trucks coast to coast in 2017. Some days we heaven and some days were mental hell. I just got numb to it until coming out of the truck in 2018. Grew to 5 trucks and 11 trailers until things slowed in 2023. Started cutting back. Parked them last October while debit free. I'm down to 2. Parked and waiting to see how 2025 is.

❤ As usual, you are showing this seasoned former driver how I was, and allowed myself to be trapped to the seat and not take the time to stop and enjoy the sites. I was able to see many sites through the windshield, unlike most Americans, but not stopping to take part in it, whatever "it" is. You are correct, trucking can be one of the most unhealthy jobs, but there are ways to make it less unhealthy. Thank you. I hope someday you and I can meet. I would like to say thank you in person for helping me make other drivers look at their jobs in a different view. I am now a Safety Consultant in the trucking industry, as well as other industries. I’ve done 10 in that rest area a few times. Back in the day I skied those mountains in the background. The next exit takes you to Breckinridge. When your trailer is over 13’ 6” you have to use the Loveland Pass where you’ll find The Keystone Resort and Arapahoe Basin ski areas. I’ve skied both of them too.

What you are saying is sssssooooo TRUE!!! I only do a couple overnights per week but I always try to make sure to go for a walk. If it’s an unfamiliar location I’ll look on google for good area to walk. Or I’ll walk to a store, usually a farm supply store. But I wish other drivers would do the same. I don’t think they realize how much better they’d feel. Especially to do it after a meal, great way to work off the calories I just took in. Thanks for sharing this. You’ve got yourself a pretty good size of follows so I hope that you can inspire other drivers to do the same. 👍

Hi Shelby, I'm an English woman living in the Czech Republic. My late husband was an artic driver and when my work allowed, I travelled with around Europe. The advice you have given not only on this video but others in "highlighting" the fact that it's important to exercise, walk etc, and try and relax and not be verbally "bullied" to drive quicker and "keep moving"! This is such a problem in Europe with drivers being given such an unnecessarily hard time. The job is responsible enough without extra pressures. A little pro tip for all the new drivers out there. Always hide a spare keys somewhere on your truck that you can get to if you lock yourself out. A lot of them do it under the hood a few in the battery box. I've had to use mine more times than I care to admit😂

@@Ryan-yo4dg I drove alone, 1 total trip was about 10700km (about 6650 miles) and including unloading/loading (3-4 times), trip took about 4 weeks .... then I was home for 1 week and did it again .... drove with a reefer and hauled various goods towards Tromso and there I loaded frozen salmon/fish/crab/etc towards Spain. Btw, Tromso is in the arctic circle
