Sheldon was a jackass to Dr Sturgis both here and when he refused to put his name on the science work hes been working on for years. It feels like he somehow felt Dr Sturgis is a kind of guy who is easy to get walked on. Accusing him of plagiarism and ratting him out to his love rival, shaking his whole world, both emotionaly and professionaly is really bad manners. Dr Sturgis is the ONLY person who gets Sheldon and who is not mean to him (Paige is smart, but she treats him like crap cause she is in love with him and dr Linkletter and civil engineer proffessor are both extreme assholes to him, especially the latter one). Besides, John is the best character in the series, the only one truly altruistic, with a heart of a child and energy of a wise old man. Reminds me of a much humbler version of Master Yoda. And big thumb down for Sheldons parents for always punishing him for stupid reasons but HERE-when they really should react in the middle of the meal and send him to his room and ground him (also when he tries to destroy Johns career, which deserves waaaay more serious punishment than a time out or forbidding something). Mild kudos to George and Meemaw but Mary... If it was pastor Jeff Sheldon has been rude to, she would cas away him to a desolate island.
