Back when TBBT was still funny. They should just help us all and kill the series already. He looks like someone who liked the show before but now feels that it has overstayed its welcome, a school of thought that a lot of people agree with. The uniqueness and greatness of TBBT lay in the fact that they were four socially awkward nerds who frequently interacted with a hot girl who lived next door. Now, 3 of the guys are in full-fledged relationships, and the show is just looking like another one of the many cheap knockoffs of Friends.

+Ishaan Sati: First of all, it's not a very common opinion that the show overstayed it's welcome. Last time I checked it was still the most successful show on television. Only surpassed by live football. But if you look at the internet, you will get the impression that all people hate it nowadays. Why? Because people who now dislike this show broadcast their opinion at every opportunity. Like the original poster. And that's basically hating. And one does not stop being a socially awkward nerd just because one has a girlfriend. And you are probably right that it's very close to friends. But I love friends, and at least it still has the twist with science, nerd culture, and socially awkward nerds.

Chiungalla79 Just because something is popular doesn't necessarily make it good. Adam Sandler' movies make tons of money, and they are largely horseshit. Similarly, Friends may currently be more popular than Seinfeld, but the latter is still a much better show (not just me, literally any critic worth their salt and the writers guild agree too). Also, the OP is clearly not a hater, he did like the show earlier and is criticizing it now, which he is perfectly allowed to do. You don't get to brush off his opinion just because you disagree with it. As for the show, the quality has definetly gone down massively (although season 11 is a small improvement on 8,9 and 10). This isn't just with TBBT, it has happened with nearly every sit-com under the sun. The point still is that TBBT should have been ended much before now. (Also, the show has suffered a drop in IMDB ratings too. So much for popularity).
