Sheldon is probably the best unwitting wingman in all of TV. The amount of times he was instrumental to making Penny aware of Leonard being more than just the nerd next door and actually being a man she could be romantically involved with, before they actually got together, is numerous.

I was watching Carl Sagan when I was a kid. Oh boy...I loved that show as I used to love Jaques Yves Custeau's series. My all childhood was about talking with my friend (my only friend) for hours every day about science and discoveries and history and mechanics and technology.... Lol by the end of the series and even before they get married Penny is making more money than him as a Pharmaceutical sales rep on commission. When he goes with her to do an autograph signing event for one of her old movies he literally loses it bragging to nerds he bagged a smart more attractive woman who makes more money than him. Penny is not book smart in terms of going to college but she has other valuable skills and life experiences that make her successful. I remember the episode where Howard doesn’t know anything about fishing and asks for Penny’s help and she explains how to catch and gut fish like she is some Biology Professor.😂

TBBT was such an iconic sitcom. I wish it hadn't ended so soon. I know years passed but even 12 seasons wasn't enough, Leonard and Penny having a child, Sheldon and Amy being a couple with such promise. Then there is Bernadette and Howard with the baby. And who knows what Raj would have accomplished, and not forgetting Stewart! He was in his own way a part of the ensemble. Too much to wonder about.
