I think Sheldon ultimately (although unintentionally) did Leonard a favor. She has no right to force her view/perspective of what the truth is onto other people. Then just because Leonard doesn't believe in the same theory as her she breaks up with him. That is ridiculous. She clearly demonstrates the lack of behavior necessary to maintain a relationship, which is accepting the perspectives and beliefs of others as long as they don't cause harm to anyone.

Even Sheldon has a confused WTF look on his face when she mention the children
@kate2create73811 ай бұрын
This clip demonstrates why I never was a Leslie fan, the two polar opposite approach both Leonard and Leslie have proves it. Leonard respects other people to come to their own conclusions, he believes people have their own intelligence and he respects that they will have their own opinions. Leslie couldn’t fathom raising children to not agree with her, to them she’ll never see their own intelligence and their minds are to be altered to strictly her views. There’s little respect in the prospect your child could be a totally different person than she probably wanted, and by the time they do become adults, will she always slight their opinions cause they’re just children to her? Sheldon brilliantly proved his point without doing to much, just the right nudge to get Leslie irked at one topic she couldn’t let go. I’ll never understand how people liked Leslie. Sorry Leslie fans.
@thiagodeandrade708111 ай бұрын
I admit I like the character as a character. She is at least as entertaining as anyone else, her jousting with Sheldon is funnier than Penny or Howard's sarcasm and she is more sympathetic than most characters - I would take her as a friend over Penny and Howard. She is less complicated than Raj and Sheldon. Yes, she could have been more tolerant, but... The hypotheses thing is an obvious analogous to religious/ideological differences, and truth is, many people deal badly with those in long term relationships. Actually, a good reason for people getting to know each relatively well before making a commitment like marriage and raising children together is to know what to expect and identify possible dealbreakers. Also, it is besides the point, but she is the only one who actually provides a shadow of an argument about the validity of one of the hypotheses.

I missed this vibe from the show and this video shows why early seasons were so well received. Biggest difference is that it was actually about scientists and their quirky habits and interests and way of life, not some useless and obnoxious waitress hogging everything and somehow landing a ridiculous job without any experience or education, and then complain about their marriage for "settling" and we just have to accept that all the hobbies and collections are useless and for the "losers" and should be thrown away like garbage. The show turned way too toxic towards the end. For a show that used that gimmick "it's about nerds" and gained popularity thanks to it, it certainly gave a middle finger at the end because they ran out of ideas. Chuck Lorre is an awful writer.

I really feel basically everything you said except the last line - he did a good job in the early seasons and then suffered some runtime-fatigue, happens to most shows that "have" to run much longer than they are supposed to. But yes, besides that: At the start, it was about nerdy scientists that geeked about "weird" stuff. In the end, they weren't allowed to do that because it would "bore the girls", but also the nerdy topics became extremly basic. It was honestly just dumbed down to StarWars/Star Trek and Comic Books, because most people watched/consumed these three big ones. My mother watched all Star Wars/Trek movies and some of the MCU, wouldn't exactly call her a nerd... But that's what the audience craved, they wanted to feel "nerdy" too I guess. So things like playing Halo or watching an anime in japanese couldn't fly anymore

Sheldon's response was essentially "Balderdash!!! My theory is just better than your theory..". How?? He didn't explain his theory other than to say "Balderdash!!! Matter clearly consists of tiny strings.." Again--how does he know that his opinion (theory) is correct?? He didn't even bother to explain the basis or foundation for his space-time string theory..🤔😒
