It's the kindness display by Mrs MacElroy toward Sheldon that I like the most. She seems pretty supportive of him and almost protective in her own way. True story. In 6th grade at Indian Head Elementary School, Kings Park, New York in the year 1969, we had student body election. The candidates gave the usual unimaginative forgettable speeches. The last candidate promised he would persuade the school administration to install soda machines. Everyone roared with applause. I knew he was going to win. I voted against him because health class and my mother taught that soda was bad for health. We didn't get soda machines. Years later I noticed schools have soda machines - a result of unrelenting marketing and "support" to the schools from the cola companies.
