How long does high school usually last? And middle.school etc? Most of the uk only has 2 mandatory education schools. Primary school ages 5 to 11 (year 1 to year 6) and secondary school which is ages 11 to 16 (year 7 to 11) There's sixth form that is optional to attend ages 16 to 18 (year 12 to 13.) Sixth form is usually part of the secondary school itself. Or you can go to college instead. After that it woukd be university.
