Hi Jamie, I ❤❤❤ your organization videos. Occasionally I will think "why am I watching this person organize her games" but then I realize ai judt dind it super relaxing. I actually watched it before going to bed because it put me in a very Zen relaxed mood. Two game comments: Acquire and Cosmic Encounter. I've been playing both since the 1970s and 80s when I was a teenager. I still play them now with my teenage kids, and they totally hold up as games and with this generation of kids as well. Two of my favorite games of all time. A few of you out there might appreciate that I still have and play the Avalon Hill bookshelf version of Acquire. I still have about 20 Avalon Hill bookshelf games on my shelf. Also an original publication of Tales of the Arabian Nights from 1985.

Love the color code system. And your collection in the like mahogany shelves is just so beauftiul and straight goals. Plus, "Do you even own animals if you aren't covered in fur?" truer words have never been spoken. P.S. y'all gotta play Whale to Look I've been talking about it a lot since DTW. also, i feel so validated seeing your Bohnanza copy with a rubberband lol mine has one too it opens so much on its own.

These kinds of videos are always enjoyable! It is always a nice little inside to the games you guys have and are looking to play soon type of thing! And it is always a bonus when we get to see animals! Also as a visual person myself, as soon as you started talking about labeling games with sticky notes I was all in! We don't have nearly as many games and don't do any kind of reviewing, but just having little labels like that to denote things about the games that I can see when just scanning the shelves, seems like a great idea! Hopefully it will help you keep track of stuff a little easier!

Do you share your air table somewhere? Would be interesting to see your ratings and a complete list of your collection. The BGG account doesn’t seem to be up to date and only has one rating.

I love the colour tab idea. Stickers are great to ID stuff. my mom did this with her games and DVD when she combined homes with a new partner. Was great when they split after 6 years and had to divide their commingled belongings.

I have waaay to many games on my shelf of shame. Trying to reduce it this year. I should organize our Shelf of shame better for that, too.

LOVE your video! Seeing your organized collection is wonderful. Thinking a lot about my own organization these days as I get more and more games. Lol. Just a thought ... but if you added a blue label to a game, wouldn't you assume you also needed to play it? Could have maybe saved some labels that way... since it would have only needed an ORANGE one if it was a rush. Unless you don't review after you've played ... idk. 😁❤

Nice video; stickers are a good way to organize. I use rolls of ChromaLabel 0.50 Inch Removable Color Code Dot Stickers (1,000 per roll) from Amazon. Based on what I saw in the video, I think the dot stickers might show up better than the PostIt stickers (fluorescent pink and yellow show up quite well on game boxes). They are more expensive since each roll is only 1 color, but they would give a more consistent look and may avoid any confusion over time as to what the various colors mean since you wouldn't be running out of colors and have to substitute. I color code for games that I think will appeal to my wife and games I'm considering for culling to free up shelf space. The latter is helpful because it helps me to visually decide between games to sell and games to keep.

Just played Mille Fiori this past weekend, what a fun game. I have played it several times and it always goes over great.

My system is that I slightly pull the unplayed games from the shelves, about 2 inches out. All my played games are flush with the front of the shelf so the pulled out ones are really obvious. Also, I hate the look of it which motivates me in getting them played. Then I can push it flush with the other ones and say ahhhhh…

I did this too! I just stickered (I know not a word, but it's mine) the games not played yet. I have let this kinda slack but now watching your video I am going to jump back on this. Thank you.

You mentioned needing to play survive, but I can't see the sticker or if you put ons on. (The scissor drop interrupted life) I have lots of nostalgia for that game as my grandma had an earlier printing, but i still find it great.

That was a good thing to do, but I think it would make the most sense to move your orange games to a different location so you don’t need to hunt them down since you have so many shelves and locations. My house is starting to get this way too… I think I need to donate more games to the library.

"I'll know what it means" with respect to the colors. Oh, ye of faith. I would've forgotten in the time it took to film this.

I think the different colored stickers are great if you are visually drawn to that type of organization. I was very impressed with your spreadsheet and think that is a very useful tool. Did you do it yourself or did you buy it?

The only "down" side to this video is I kept going "when are they going to film playing THAT one" as you stickered stuff. 🙂
