Oh… reading that title I thought you made a profile FOR A board game. Like some kind of wild RP pretending to be Pandemic or Agricola. 😂. Solid vid, as always!

LOL i'd love to see that tbh. Can't imagine the cheesy puns that would come out of that
@biyukun5 ай бұрын
I thought that, too! Agricola's profile would probably be like a "ALWAYS KEEP GRINDING"/entrepreneur profile.

I once took a girl I met on Tinder to a board meeting. It was our first in-person meeting (we lived in different cities). Eight years have passed and now she is my wife and the mother of my child. So it works :D

The disclaimer destroys the entire idea to see how successful it actually is. The concept was really fun though, but you forget the influence of status.

Yeah I dont get the point of this: was it to honestly try to find someone to date that has the same interests, i.e. board games, or was it to find a platonic gaming person/group? If the former, it didnt seem like any honest effort was put in; if the latter, there are better ways to find a gaming group

yep, for this Pranav and I didn't want to lead people on unintentionally. The concept was mad fun though! -AShton

@branboom3342 leave it to some board gamer in the youtube comments to way overthink things. Obviously they don't think this is the best way to get a group 🙄 It was done for fun. You know, the reason we play games in the first place?

This is hilarious. Many of us in the hobby bemoan, “I wish I could play more if only my partner liked games as much as I do.” And fun fact, I did meet my partner (3 years strong) on Tinder. I mentioned that tabletop board gaming was super important to me and screened people based on how they answered “Do you have a D20?” Our first date was at Victory Point Cafe, a board gaming cafe in Berkeley, and I taught him Planetarium. He taught me “Feed the Shoggoth.” The rest is history.

awesome! Thanks for sharing. I've been to Victory point cafe too, its a really nice place! -ashton

I’ve mentioned board games in dating profiles before, but I think you’ve got the right idea about leaning in in almost a self-parody kind of way 😂 That fish picture is 👌🏻

To be fair - can you really claim "inappropriate horniness" when you're hitting em with the tasteful crop? ;) Also the fish one is legitimately incredible. Nice work Ashton LOL

The results mentioned are completely unrealistic on Tinder for a man. Either they are lying or they forgot to mention that this was "man looking for men" results. Women would never send such high volume of inappropriate messages, and he wouldn't get so many matches. Was this experiment done in the man-man section of the app?
@ZandoFox5 ай бұрын
They did mention that the dating profile was open to both men and women
@Marc-gj9vx4 ай бұрын
@@ZandoFox but they don't mention what percentage of the match are women. So it was probably mostly all men.
