One nitpick I have with the game is that sometimes, the bank runs out of money before anyone is forced to coup. This is especially problematic with the Reformation expansion due to high player counts, though I’ve heard it can happen with a 6-player game as well.

I've only played BSG 3 times however I loved it. Just recently got Unfathomable and really looking forward to playing it soon. :) 3 years after this video was made there is an expansion out and I got that as well. :D

Cities & Knights is so good in my opinion it shouldn’t be an expansion but should be the new base level version

14:41 this almost breaks the game for me... i got tilted after playing the game for a couple of hours, we all compared our secret objectives, and some people were playing on Easy while others were playing on Expert... not a huge deal if it was a quick filler 15-minute game but wtf at that imbalance for a pretty lengthy game

I played Twilight Imperium once, it was Third Edition. Other players decided at the beginning, we should play till 15 points. I did not know what it meant at that time. The game took us 13h. It was horrible, and I never wanted to approach this game again. Watching your reviews, makes me think I missed something good.

Hello, i have a question about the rules of this edition. Can i do the "Drop action" in my turn? The rules book doesn't mention, even in "IF YOU'VE PLAYED BEFORE: IMPORTANT CHANGES", but in 2nd edition, they said we can drop item or omen. Please confirm this for me.

In 4.5 hrs playing w my gf....we never found the menhir rites, died once, got locked out of advancing the game the second time, didn't complete even chapter 1. The fact that every encounter and exploration drains your energy and life, depleting your ability to do things in the seven turns u get before the only menhir goes dark and u die, just suuuuuuucks. I WANTED to like this game so much. Awesome art, cool mechanics buuuuuut.... Game returned. Not worth 200$.

I really tried to like the game, but i think its an Asymetrical MESS with extreme weight in the card draws, which lends itself to a very frustrating experience. The board game works because it has the Mount Doom "race" mechanic between war and fellowship.. here... i dont see it. i give it a 2/5

You do great reviews but you swear to the point of distraction. I don't even dislike swearing. I swear a lot. But yeah, it's distracting.

I love all three of the mentioned games. Only Battle of the 5 Armies was a letdown. Rebellion gets the balance wrong as Rebels cannot defeat a clever Empire player. I want another of these sprawling thematic war games.

The Kickstarter version has alternative leaders.

Atreides have to play very aggressively and keep a constant check on Harkonnen army locations. It took us a while to find the strategy for Atreides, but now winning is fairly equal. 10/10

Please do Arcs with The Blighted Reach Expansion. There are only 2 reviews of the expansion (base game review is redundant at this point imo) and both look like they had the gaming moment of their lives.

I don't mean to be mean, but watching the 5 of you sitting around the table and texting in the B roll seems kinda miserable. I feel this game is designed to be played in a more relaxed setting if you play it in person, lounging around on sofas or whatever, even walking around / leaving the room if you feel like it.

There are a lot of missed opportunities with this game. Trading like settlers of catan is horrible mechanic. Trading should jut let you choose resources based on your agreements. Everyone gets what they want. Diplomats should go into a deck where the player shuffles and draws. Emulates spies infiltrating or failing to.

The thirty minute rule review stated that when you attack, you don’t move until after you win. Your review shows movement before attacking. Which is it?

In catan explorers and pirates there’s a predetermined number placement in starting island, but hex can be shuffled. I wonder if both hex and numbers can be shuffled

I still have Master of Orion II on my PC, as a matter of fact I played it only some few days ago! I was not a fan of the sequels MoO 3 and WG version (the latest PD version), hence I am not so sure about this board game by WG... Guess I have to wait and see more reviews on the final game (not this beta one).
