Shell grip is the beige colour you see on a corner which is laid to give increased grip for road users. You'll be familiar with patches which have worn through time and what you end up across the road is a beige strip, then the original tar followed by another beige strip and then the original tar.
Rather than excavate the road, plane it back and start again, to save costs, local authorities are taring over what they had before.
So, what you end up is ridges up and down, up and down across the road like an old washboard. That effect on your suspension can completely unnerve your motorcycle. If you also factor in going round a bend, you're more than likely to encounter serious difficulties controlling your bike.
