Albini loved kids (alittle to much, he was a pedo). Look it up
@tomclemens53455 ай бұрын
Went to a Shellac show a few years ago, a guy in the audience kept heckling Todd Trainer, you could see the band get really pissed of, so at one point he got up from his drumset, asked the guy to come onstage, gave him his drumsticks and told him to play, the rest of the band would follow him along. Of course he sucked, guy had never hit a drum in his life, everybody was taking the piss out of him, it was glorious. You don’t mess with Shellac! Later that night, Albini told my friend to punch me in the face because he… well he was Steve Albini. A concert experience I will cherish forever.

Rest in power, Steve. One of my great memories is finally seeing Shellac at Primavera. I saw them a few years earlier at an indoor venue in London but maybe the sound wasn't up to scratch, because the sound at the outdoor stage totally destroyed it. The best guitar and bass tone I've ever heard, absolutely cut-throat. The anti-band in every way. Freaks and weirdos, and I'm glad to call myself that as well. Interestingly, this video is almost exactly the same run-time of the studio version.

Shellac functions as a tough natural primer, sanding sealant, tannin-blocker, odour-blocker, stain, and high-gloss varnish. Shellac was once used in electrical applications as it possesses good insulation qualities and it seals out moisture.

This sucks man. No other "celebrity" death has ever hit me like this. I was inspired by Steve as a young teenager. I never was musically talented, but Steve Albini was the reason I started caring hard about my art. I stopped drawing gimmicky similar stuff to what i was comfortable with drawing, and Steve Albini and Trent Reznor saved me. They really inspired me to be comfortable with doing things outside the box. What Steve Albini did for me is give me confidence in myself. He showed me how you can really express yourself through your art, while being vulnerable and sad. The first time I heard "Kerosene" i felt so heard, so understood, ans thats big black thats not even shellac. But steve albini chamged my life, for the better, and he'll never know it. Steve, if you really can see any of this...thank you man. And thank you for being so fucking amazing that you changed the way grunge music was even viewed. You're a fucking legend. My favorite song from Steve would have to be his band Shellac's big hit, Kersosene. No one can deny that song is perfect. RIP STEVE ALBINI. He definitely made it out of Minnesota.
