This is wonderful. I love that Steve spends half of the "solos" putting his guitar back on. It's an interesting and cool way to hold your guitar. its not really great for putting on and taking it off multiple times in a song. GOD I LOVE THESE MEN AND THEIR ART- even the airplane

Something bigger than Steve Albini himself has gone with his sudden death, something wich was crystal pure, something he protected but also shared to the world. He was a guardian of the temple, the temple of a vision of music that fought to be loyal, that fought to be honest and fought to just be. Man there was so much left to stand for. Bye Steve.

I had no idea Steve passed. Steve was my favorite musician/producer. I started playing guitar in 03 but I listened to bands my sister who is 14 years older than me and my parents never listened to much younger. We had a record store still do called Looney toons on long island NY. Learned about sir lord Baltimore, wishbone ash, the obsessed, kyuss,Shellac etc.. Steve was my hero when I finally had the ability to read about him only a week and a half away from my birthday he passed. Didn't even know. I only wanted to learn analog recording and my amazing guitar teacher Steve did analog as well. Heart broken please spread these bands and these memories

I never met Steve Albini. We never talked. I never saw Shellac in person. He had no idea I existed. But Steven Albini has had a bigger influence on my life that most of the people in my life. He was kind of a dick in his younger days, I reckon if I actually knew him then we would not have been friends or even friendly acquaintances. But his music and the music that he helped bring into the world and his ideas on art and music and being true to yourself have had such a massive impact on who I am today. I never met Steve, but I loved that dude and it feels like I lost a close friend.
