Nothing wrong with downsizing and I understand the choice of having them out in the open being enjoyed by others versus stowing them away in a box where they can't be seen. Yours is one of my favorite KZbin channels. And, YOU, one of my favorite channel hosts. I love shells ... don't collect them ... but, love them non the less. Through you I have been able to enjoy the thrill (your thrill) of finding them, learning about them and actually being able to talk about them (with knowledge) to other people. I am especially impressed with your concern and care towards the living creatures you come across ... your fondness of rescuing stranded Sea Hares. You have made a difference in my life. The valuable knowledge you possess needs to be shared ... not just on KZbin. Contact your local or regional boards of education to see if you can develop a curriculum and associated teaching materials that can be used in a classroom. Maybe you could be the one who goes into the classroom to share your knowledge on shelling and the creatures who at one time inhabited the shells.

My collection was nowhere the size of yours, yet put together over many years, and recently I radically downsized and sold the greater part of it, also for practical reasons. Like you I kept most for reasons beyond their beauty, sentimental above all. Yes, at times I miss those that are gone, but I would do it again, maybe keeping just a few more..anyhow those left are all the more treasured because they are fewer. God bless you!

Hi from the US. I love your videos and adore the shells! I totally understand about your selling. I have a "fragile collection" as well. I collect small blown glass figures. I started collecting just before I married. Between my careless husband, my dogs and moving four times I have broken some really great pieces. It breaks your heart to see the waste. I would rather see your shells in a new home and you with a nice bank account out with your friends looking for more shells! Im going to check out your sale. Good luck. 👍

I’m sorry you have to sell your collection. Everything you have is still valuable and is like a savings account in a way. Try to hang on to the money and invest or save it to help you get your house where you can start again. Traveling is fun, but having a home is the best way to build a future.

I know you would rather sell, than store your beautiful shells, but I hope you don't end up regretting some of your most prized possessions! ) : Your collection and museum style space that you display them in is a dream room I wish I could have!
