Beach was gorgeous today! You find beautiful cowries but the bonnets are my favorites. I would even take the old ones and broken ones. Some of us have no spectacular shells like you find so even broken pieces like that stunning broken cone would be like heaven to us, right guys? Keep them and throw them in your giveaways for us less fortunate souls who will never be lucky enough to walk your beaches! Just saying! And the Hebrews wow! Thanks for the lovely shelling day. Love all the bonnets and the grape cowrie!! I started to keep parts of shells too that I want to find whole! My list so far is of course a bonnet, murex, banded tulip and a golden olive!!! I can only hope and dream!!!

I’m always surprised at how different shelling is in your area, compared to Florida’s Gulf of Mexico. The Gulf of Mexico has gentle surf and fine sand beaches - so older people can safely go shelling. I can’t imagine how much harder it would be to beach comb in the rocks, and I’d also be worried about the poisonous cone shells. Florida’s cone shells are venomous, but no more so than a bee sting - so not a very big worry. Be safe while shelling, and thank you for sharing your adventures with us!

Many times, when you are showing the shells, they are too close to the camera and not in Focus. Perhaps hold them a bit further away. Otherwise, your finds make me jealous.
