I love cowry shells. In the 50s my family and I had a fueling lay-over on Wake Island while on our way to Japan. I briefly walked the beach with my dad and found 3 large/giant cowry and still have them. Great memories indeed.

Look up CHALDEUS CONE SHELL. I think that might be what your mostly black cone shell. Some pictures I saw they had a pink tip.

I think the scientific name of the prickly drupe is Drupa ricinus. The white Hebrew cone is my favorite of that score. Could the dark cone that was inside bonnet near the end be a dark phase of an Eburneus Cone? Thanks too for the great underwater shots.
