Freddy is awesome! When we lived in NJ and would go to Orlando for vacation my kids would go bonkers for those lizards. They never did manage to catch any, though I've gotten quite good at catching them in our lanai so I can get them back outside again :) Thank you for watching!

Beautiful lace murex! The ones I find usually don't have much color. Turkey wing! Zigzag pattern. Nutmegs also have "teeth" in their aperture. Not ANOTHER albino lightning whelk!?! Thanks again for taking me along!

What a gorgeous day on Bonita and Fort Myers beach. 🌞 Super nice to see the critters you encountered this time. Tortoise and a lizard. Loved the attached giant cockle, wasn't sure you were going to keep it but I saw it in your final shell display. The candy swirled shark eye was very pretty.

Hi from N.H. new subscriber but watched a few of your video. I lived in NC one winter and got so many beautiful shells. I was in heaven. So when you showed the wall of shells I wanted to be there. It was awesome. What creature chews on the shells.

Collecting shells can be quite addicting! The loggerhead turtle is one such creature that will crush shells with its powerful jaws. We actually got to see one of these turtles up close - it was amazing!!

So I went shell combing on a beach and found a oyster shell like the one I saw in one of yr documentary films and it reminded me of a back of a lions paw in the hind legs. It was cool. I was able to document the ones Iicked up. There is another shell that i found and i saw one and it was cool. Lo e your documentaries.linda from New Zealand.

I do find those oysters that kind of look like Lion's paw shells. I don't normally collect them but I've seen people make really beautiful things from them!

Just a thought. Could u make an actual lion of shells and use the oyster shells as the back foot of the lion. Thank u for replying to me. I'm just tickled that u take time for us. Ice seen also yr scallop shells and we only have one coloured pink and white. Not like the ones u pick up. I just love yr documentaries and I've often gone over them alot. This is my favorite beach. Be sure to go back at negative low tide. Look for the big horse conchs and dig in the shell clusters for buried goodies.

Cool finds! Loved those shark eyes and that albino whelk! That gopher tortoise was so cool, I have yet to see one. I have seen a Florida box turtle right by the beach one time. That was pretty cool, considering it was winter and that they are less active in the colder months. Also, your lizard was a brown anole. Wonder how that guy made it all the way up to the beach, good thing you moved it off!

Oh I don't think you have to wear shoes - I almost never do! And I do think you could probably do some digging and sifting here. It's not my thing and I haven't really tried it so I couldn't give you pointers on that but this is a great beach to explore at low-tide for sure!

How do you tell the difference between w shark eye and a gawdy nautica?

The gaudy nauticas always have a base yellow color with brown markings. The shark eyes are more browns - I will show the difference the next time I find them both - I'll include it in the video!
