Just getting my head around the Shelly devices and what they can do and how to set up. Interesting comment you made about Shellycloud running on Android being a bit of a dog. Resetting up a device yesterday nothing was working (I didn't think to use IOS) but after restarting my Android phone, things started to work (as you would expect). Thanks for the vids. Hi Jimmy , Thank you for the very useful video. I configured my Shellies in the app with cloud on for all of them set a static ip and then added them to Home assistant using the Shelly intergration. Is the purpose of Shelly for Hass to re-configure the devices for use with MQTT (which I would need to do manually if I didn't use the addon) ?

I currently have my ShellIes setup using mqtt. But I’ve noticed that not all functionality is easily visible there. For example I don’t have the IP address. I think I’ll need to switch these over to be able to get more details without a lot of effort. For example, I need the ip to connect to it to set things like nighttime light level. Or, any other setting on the web interface that is not accessible in ha.

Could it be that you installed the shelly for hass repository before you searched for Shelly under integration? That's what I had to do before I was finally able to access the integration.

I installed hacs, and shellyforhass, and added "shelly:" in the config file, but I cannot find the shelly devices on the integration menu. Can it be cause the user/password on the shelly devices?

I had high hopes but this is 2 years on and now it doesn't look anything like what you show in your video :( I added the integration, hit finish and then I have no shelly devices popping up and some confusing configuration and settings....
