I especially like its formfactor, as it fits directly into a standard fusepanel, at least the one's in Denmark.

I love that the Pro 4PM has ethernet capabilities. It makes for a more reliable connection and less clutter on the WiFi. WiFi is very crowded in my area and it gets a lot of interference.

I know POE is missing and some will complain about it but it's still decent choice
@mrxmry32642 жыл бұрын
@@notenoughtech why would you need PoE in a device like this?
@notenoughtech2 жыл бұрын
Probably hassle free deployment plus you could still monitor and report back on power loss assuming your POE is on another mains

At the start of the video you say it’s 10amp each. You do say later it’s 16amps. It’s stated as 16amps per channel according to their website, this is what you would rate a 2.5mm radial circuit in the uk. I’m looking to locate this in a second sub panel supplied buy at 32 amp breaker (the unit says 40 amps max but I think 32 is plenty) then have each radial protected by a 16amp mcb. Love your channel, looking forward to the new Shelly reviews especially the temperature as the stuff I have at the moment is not very reliable.
@notenoughtech2 жыл бұрын
Thank you - relays can handle 16A each - which is also possible if you use a single channel. To prevent overheating - you should not load this with more than 10A using multiple channels at once with 40A for all 4 channels.

The yneed to make one with more relais and without power metering or LCD, those features are way overkill just to switch some lights!
@BillGriggs7 ай бұрын
I wonder if this relay system could be used with Tormach Pathpilot to control flood and mist coolant on/off. Pathpilot is a Linux based CNC control.

As long as ratings fall within the Shelly's spec - I can't see why not? Webhooks probably could come handy

Can you get into this one using the device IP and download a consumption history report as you can do with Shelly 3M? That one has a resolution of 10mins in the logs that you can download by logging into the device

Hi there, I was wondering if the manual switches work regardless? For me, when I turn off the light / line using the Shelly app (the relay), I need to turn the manual switch on and off again for it to work. Have I was wondering if I am doing something wrong? Help.
@notenoughtech2 жыл бұрын
They both should be working fine - chcek he configuration of your physical switch as Shelly comes with dozen option to set the desired behaviour for this

@@notenoughtech Thank you. I will have another go! Related question - I am rewiring the whole house. I was thinking of following a star pattern for the rewiring with each switch (a single pendant, group of pendants, or LEDs) coming from a Shelly relay. So the line becomes 'smart' so to speak. Does this make sense or overkill? Given Thread/Matter coming down the pipe soon.

really hoping for a dimmer 4 pro with ethernet and poe soon!

Dimmers are hard, as they will depend on the bulb compatibility as well. By far the easiest way is to get a zigbee wall switch (battery powered) and zigbee bulb

I'm new to this so this may be a dumb question. It looks to me like I can get remote on/off without even using the S1,S2,S3,S4 terminals since the relay does the switching and steals power from the L terminals. Is this correct? If so what is the purpose of the S terminals?
@JB-jx3qf Жыл бұрын
Correct. The S connectors are for switches. If you also want to manually switch the channel(s)

If you are using all 4 channels the limit is 40 for all combined (10A each)
