8:45 - You can connect 1 wire to the L if you always stay below 16A's. The 4PM can handle 40A but that would require a 6mm2 cable. The 4PM can only handle 2.5mm2. So in order to be compliant you need to split your 6mm2 from your 40A breaker to 4x 2.5 and connect it to each L connector. If you don't, you will fry your cable and single connector of the 4PM. After every O you need to have a 16A breaker.

So you're using groundwires to actually connect to things? Very cheeky and not at all confusing... ;)

Nice video but please don’t remove your breakers to fit this unit. I don’t believe the Shelly pro 4pm provides any overload protection. The live input if shared will need to be fed by an appropriate gauge wire. This dictates the size of the breaker you are supplying the shelly from. You are going to need 6mm for 40amp , using 4mm needs a 32amp breaker. Then feed the cables into 16 amp breakers and from there connect to the loads.

Regarding the wire sizes, that's for stranded or solid?

I totally agree you still need overcurrent protection so it would be 1 breaker per circuit

Remove breakers? Are you serious?????

dude you have no idea what you are doing , Shelly DOES NOT REPLACE YOUR circuit breakers THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS , also the Shelly itself must be protected by a circuit breaker. Stop posting videos about electrical stuff if you have no knowledge. What you are promoting can lead to serious material losses or even death. DO NOT PLAY WITH ELECTRICITY

This is really interesting since you don't need a wifi switch in every swich to avoid excessive radiation and also you can have regular wall switches. Really good video.

For the sake of safety, I would absolutely advise to leave the 'manual' breakers in each circuit. They provide overload and short circuit protection and have been tested to comply to various requirements (and proven to do so). Also, those manual breakers are designed to withstand more current than rated for a period of time, whereas a 'smart' switch will just cut off the power at the set limit. I've seen cases where smart switches turn off even below their rated limit.

The way you explain and doing it is not correct. Switching with switch you should use live not neutral. Also this device is not replacement for your MCB's.

Thanks for the info! Which version of Shelly did you use?

Excellent explanation in the end there. BUT: If I want to connect 4 outputs to it, does that mean that the input from the circuit breaker needs to share a port? For example L04?

The switch must be with live, not neutral. Because between L and SW are 3.3vdc and between N and SW is 230VAC! And breakers are not to remove before Shelly 4PM! After you can put or not, but before the breaker must be there!

Question. Does the Pro PM series support dimming functions in software and basic (dumb) wall dimmer switches for lights? Or can it only switch on / off for connected devices?

Excelente video. Questão: podemos alterar a label de cada relé no display do shelly? Na APP eu sei que dá mas gostava que ficasse mais funcionar a visualização no equipamento.

Does anyone have any idea how you could install the shelly pro 4pm in a two way circuit?

Hi there, I was wondering if the manual switches work regardless? For me, when I turn off the light / line using the Shelly app (the relay), I need to turn the manual switch on and off again for it to work. Have I was wondering if I am doing something wrong? Help. I am using a very standard manual switch. Are you using a special switch?

So many fault. You are connecting The shelly direct to The earth fault breaker. Each outputs must be protected bye a fuse. Check The manual. The shelly is just a relay unit not a fuse

It's not a safe install at all. Wrong colors: electricity has its own rules and not a random rainbow.

I would advise you to seek the advice of a real electrician as electricity can kill and your practices tend to indicate to me that you are not one I would also invest in a set of VDE tools if you are poking around in a consumer unit whether live or not.
