I saw this live in Nagoya. It was the first time they had done this acoustic version and everyone was like totally surprised and blown away by it. We went out to an afterparty and that's all we could talk about. I mean, there were people shedding tears. Very memorable concert.

This is why Band-Maid is the best band in the world to me, they can rock your socks off then bring you to peace and serenity with this very beautiful, very emotional song. Saiki shows so much emotion in her voice and facial features then Kanami backs it up with her high, soft voice, like an angelic duo.

The song is about the pain of losing in love and the emotional intensity of this version reduces me to tears every time.

The depth of emotion in this version is great!

The way Saiki emotes in this version of the song is just incredible and touching. I came over to this one immediately after watching a reaction to Parabol/Parabola from Tool. Apparently I decided I'm crying for my lunch break.

Fact about this song that some people don't know that "Puzzle" is a sad song until they hear it playing in sweet acoustic live and then they're curious about the meaning of the song's lyrics

Fantastic. SAIKI is emotionally tearing herself apart towards the end of the song. She gives so much of herself. She is talented but she is generous with that talent. It's not just a matter of she is lucky enough to be the front women for a great band she is a great singer and could iff she had to make it on her own. I guess that is one of the things that make this band so good, they could all make it on their own. How lucky we are that they are together.

Another viewer described the electric as the anger, the acoustic as the pain.

There are five Band-Maid songs in total given the unplugged treatment. The one that is most obscure is acoustic Yolo. This band can do no wrong. Sacramento loves Band-Maid.

@@paul_laws lol of course they'd be hiding in plain sight. Forgot how great those are, every bit as good as Puzzle & Anemone IMO.

@@paul_laws Thank you Paul. It is obscure because it is hard to find. But it certainly exists. Best regards.

My favorite Band Maid performance, but the solidification comes from the second song, Anemone! Beautiful song, Saiki dings with such passion!

Red Rose Miku founded Kanami Tono on the internet singing & playing. Blue Rose Saiki Atsumi: She first started singing solo when she was fourteen. She performed as a backup dancer and singer in several groups before auditioning for BAND MAID.

I recommend reading through an English translation of the lyrics before listening to a song the first time, it puts Saiki's expression into context. Looking through the original Japanese lyrics will show you where the English is (like "Don't Cry" in this song) so you can listen for it. It's Japanese street English for Japanese consumption and follows typical Japanese pronunciation and is, sometimes, very difficult for a native English speaker to understand.

More sad and beautiful than calm and soothing to me, but I understand the lyrics ... So maybe part of Saiki performance did not get through. Nice reaction anyway, and thanks for choosing this one.
