Sheltie basic home grooming

The basic grooming for our shelties homemade :)
Eva is laying in the table because is the only way that she let me groom her :) I've being combing her like that since she was a puppy. Its not the better way, but it works for us!
If your dog can be up and in stay position..better that way ;)

Eva permanece acostada debido a que es la única forma en que se queda quieta :) La he peinado de esta manera desde que era cachorra, no es la mejor forma, pero funciona para nosotras!
Si tu perro puede estar de pie y en posición stay, mejor aún ;)

My sheltie would kick me if I'd lay him down like that and tried to groom him :D It's always a fight when I have a brush in hand! Great video and a very beautiful dog :) Sable is my favorite color!

For those who dont understand why she is laying on the table, its because she is more calm in that way and she is more comfortable. You can do it in stay position if you want to. Keep in mind that is home grooming, not show grooming. Para aquellos que no entienden por qué está acostada en la mesa, les digo que es porque ella está mas calmada de esa forma y también mas cómoda. Pueden peinsrla en posición stay si así lo prefieren. Recuerden que es cepillado casero, no es una peluquería de show, sólo mantenimiento.

+Bo Tank Hahah she is no dead! or sedated! she just likes to be brush in that way, I never teached her to stay in the position "stay" to be brushed. Its just the way we do it haha

how you make him lie still? it's impossible with our sheltie. he gets tickled by the brush.

Why are you spraying water? I never ever combed my dog this way before and for your dog to be still is pretty special. My dog wouldn't be able to sit still that long and let you brush her that way. How long have you combed her that way? Since she was a young puppy because they don't get their long fir till she/he is 1 to 1 1/2 years old by then she wouldn't like this if you just started at that age?

Why the water spray? What's the purpose of that? You might want to save her hair and have it spun and made into something?

Hola Victoria De Stefano, no, no está anesteciada, sólo es mi forma de peinarla, ella se queda quieta así. Por supuesto que es mejor en stay, pero bueh asi es como mejor se me da a mi y a ella :), además mi intención no es enseñar peluqueria para shows o expos, saludos ;)
