Recently been watching Raj Kapoor and Nargis movies purely by coincidence as Amazon Prime have recently featured their films. Such amazing films and each and every one of them have such amazing life lessons. From Shree 420, Awaara, Mother India, and this film. I still remember as a young boy my parents used to watch all of these films and purchased most of the films soundtracks on cassette. I still have memories of my mum singing these songs while cooking. The funny thing is that when these films popped up on Prime I found myself humming and signing some of the songs without even thinking about it. True masterpieces live in your heart forever. 👍🏽❤️🙏🏽

This film was a collaborative effort between Bombay film industry led by the great raj kapoor and ka Abbas and the great talent in Bengal theatre...director sombhu mitra is a legend in indian theatre and many artists like Pahari Sanyal ,pradeep kumar,chhobi biswas( only in Bengali version) r the cream of Bengali cinema at that time...this film was also made in a Bengali version called ' ek din raatre' .... definitely a great classic ....my father used to tell me of this great joint Bengal+ Bombay effort , however in my childhood I cdnt manage to see this film...my dad passed away in 2013...however thanks to internet and KZbin I have now seen both the versions of this classic...I wish if my father would have been alive today he would have been elated...thank you to the uploader from the bottom of my heart!!
