I don't know why but, I feel like Shenhe is one of the best written characters we have gotten recently. Probably something to do with her lore having a lot of conflict and emotions that feel "earned" not mostly implied. It's cool getting the whole story of her origin so we can relate to her a bit. (not that other chars don't have these but, idk I think myhoyo did good on this one especially)

Shenhe is is my favorite character in the game, and the thing is, its not even close. Her lore is honestly unmatched in this game in terms of emotional complexity. I cried like a bitch during that quest at the end- and I usually play this game with a straight face, even during the sadder scenes. Not only does she have this crazy lore, her gameplay is vv fun AND her design is one of the best in the game, to- Anyways, I'm on a binge of Shenhe lore videos, tysm for this

i'm not sure if anyone has pointed out, the 'homicidal' part is just a little mistranslated. in the original, it means she brings harm to others by just being there (like the opposite of chongyun, bad energy, attracting bad omens such as disasters) rather than take out a knife and go wheehee 'homicidal' isn't the best word to describe what shenhe has

Shenhe's backstory is actually similar to Beidou's, both of them were deserted by their family or adopters. Shenhe compromised to her fate of loneliness, and her violent urges were sealed by adepti, but Beidou chose to resist her so-called fate, and become a cohesive and reliable Captain.

I relate alot to shenhe. My medication i take is alot like the "red ropes" that she has. although it isnt as extreme obviously. And without it my emotions get kinda crazy. So from my understanding (atleast i think.) It helps manage my emotions. But it also makes me emotionally inept in alot of area's that most people wouldn't be. funerals,sad movie's etc. although homocidal tendencies is something ive never had. but from my understanding of it, its pretty terrible. still i have similar mental health issues. I relate to alot of characters in media because of that i think.

Honestly, I really wanna see more Shenhe and Chongyun interactions. Even in the archon quest Shenhe's disposition reminded Xingqiu of Chongyun which is kinda funny. Both are pretty reserved and rather aloof. I can foresee Chongyun being excited to get to know Shenhe, and her enjoying spending time with Chongyun and of course becoming the overprotective Auntie.

There's a Genshin ad where they meet, and it's so funny. I wish that there was an actual quest like that, at some point in the Archon quest Chongyun should have shown up and met her. Yanfei, Chongyun, and Xinyan should have a bit more to do. Also Fischl, Sayu, Bennett, Razor, and a few others. I've never met Fischl or Bennett in a quest besides Bennett's hangout quest. I wish Fischl was in more things, I love her eccentric way of talking.

Hard disagree. She has no actual connection to Chongyun, with the two having never met. It only makes sense for the protagonist to play the main role in an archon quest act.

That would have been a great way imo. And even if we focus it around the traveler exclusively, "plain sight" should rly not be enough after her backstory

There are 3 possibilities that I can think of: 1. She is already old enough to live alone, so didn't know anything and completely missed the accident 2. When father came back to take Shenhe to the cave, he didn't tell Chongyun's mom, thus left her in the dark about what he did. When she learnt something a miss, from her perspective it will be like Shenhe disappeared and never return 3. Shenhe's is not directly related to Chongyun's mom. Just a distant relative (for example, younger cousin)
