Recommend Chongy Boy for Shenhe. His skill lowers her cooldowns to improve the number of icy quills she can pop off as well as her burst uptime (100% at c2). Shenhe seems to like quickswapping and popping skills and bursts repeatedly. Ganyu/(prototype amber) Mona/Shenhe/Chongyun is what I'm building atm, and I mostly just i-frame through encounters, spamming shit till everything dies. Good times.

If you build her w/Chongyun as support and burst dmg, Zhongli, and a hydro(xingqiu or mona), she could be pretty good. Problem is that atk is her ascension stat, so she is a bit more difficult to build, but with cryo resonance and blizzard strayer, just need to focus or cryo dmg and crit dmg.

Actually my friend has a c6 ayaka(whale) (mine c0 f2p) he also has shenha and his CA with shenhe does about 60K per slash with only shenhe coz it was during coop only 2 charecters could be used, mine with freeze only does like 15K no shenhe btw so the difference is quite a lot ,and i don't want to imagine his ayaka's dmg with kazuha and mona 🤧 wish one day I'll also have a c6 ayaka(copium)

It's kinda sad that her play style is soooo specific, she's one of the only 5 stars units that you almost can't use at all whiteout the right party members :( Kind of a shame, I like her lore a lot but won't pull because of that (a don't have any proper cryo DPS yet and can't risk having her and not Ganyu) I still believe she can do amazing tho. Not a lot of people have the time, will or dedication for it. I'm sure we will get more in the future but right now it doesn't change the problem, if you're f2p you can't really risk having Shenhe and then missing the cryo DPS you wanted for her ^^

moga! here are my suggestions of 4*’s to raise because i really enjoy playing as them and i would like to see you trying them! -fischl ; literally my god, she has a broken build but still does tons of dmg tho she’s just a support. she also works very wrll with elemental reactions! -razor ; physical god 😔 i’ve been a razor main since i started the game and i enjoyed him so much, though i have so many other dps/mains like hutao and xiao, razor is always my number 1 -chongyun ; i’ve been wanting to raise chongyun forever but cant! my sister mains chongyun and damn he does a lot of dmg, his play style is very interesting and i would like you to try! -xinyan ; she’s so underrated but still such a fun character to play as and explore! she’s flexible too! shield support, main/sub dps, physical, burst support -beidou ; i just LOVE to play as beidou even thoug i cant build her for myself! she’s just so fun and has a unique style. i think her E skill is very interesting because of her counter and i would love for you to explore her more! -kaeya ; despise the fact that he’s a starter, he’s so strong and fun! like i said for xinyan, he’s also flexible! physical, support, burst support, main/sub dps i’ve seen a lot of people main him and damn they’re damage is scary! Agreed, I do have her at C1 and it definitely improved her performance. I'm still testing her out, so far I mostly use her second charge to refresh the quills while Ayaka's burst. So basically Shenhe Q+E, Ayaka Q and Shenhe E while the burst goes, which works rather well. She isn't by far the best support, too specific to be generally useful. But I defnitely enjoy her, because I love building mono elemental teams every now and then.

You can play Shehne Dps with Chongyun, xingqiu, Shehne and another unit. Chongyun gives cryo basic atk, so its actually a great combo.

a nice strat for the new boss: land on the opposite side of the (they will do a synchronized atk and then jump to you). Focus on cryo one( if you can't kill it quickly the electro one will jump to the wall), If the electro is on the wall still ignore it and just focus the cryo one. If you killed the cryo one the electro will immediately come down and they will do a synchronized atk, as they do the atk you can kill the electro one

When i was huffing copium i theory crafted about calamity queller being good on Raiden. Turns out yes, it is. Just e and switch out, pop ults like you usually would, and then switch to Raiden and ult. It works.

Shen’s bonus works like Bennett’s except it doesn’t appear on the character sheet because it’s a bonus rather than an ATK buff (therefore Bennett still contributes to the buff and doesn’t overdo ATK). Hyper simplified Ayaka attacks > Shen + Benny > Cryo Bonus > C DMG > resistances applied > number is generated.

Shenhe's quill damage boost counts as flat damage (comes before crit / other damage bonuses in the damage calcs), so it then gets multiplied by your crit stats and your damage bonus stats (e.g. the cryo damange bonus cup on Ayaka)!

Pointless but advice for the boss: I find it helpful to break the walls before they jump on them bc then they can’t do that attack which kinda ruins the fight for me at least so that’s my advice. Bring a claymore if you can since they break the walls in like 3 hits (itto’s cow breaks them immediately lmao 😂)

The dmg from her E can only be increased by higher dmg bonuses and crit dmg and more characters doing cryo dmg (also EM if doing melt). Thus, ayaka is just frontloading the dmg, there is no effect on dmg coming from shenhe from how strong the attacks are. It is just dmg calculation = (atk * talent + (shenhe/yunjin) flat dmg) * dmg bonus * crit dmg (* EM * 1.5 or 2 if melt or vaporise) Thus, shenhe and yunjin will give more massive boosts to characters with low atk, low talent multipliers, high dmg bonus, high crit and maybe high EM? But shenhe only lasts for awhile. Thus, slower cryo characters like rosaria burst can only benefit by lowering their attacks in favor of more crit or even dmg bonus, relying on shenhe buff to cover the attack stat to balance out like bennett with xiangling so just team optimizations.

Hey moga if you're curious how shenhe's buff works, I'll explain below. So damage is calculated, for most characters, like so: (Character Atk × Talent multiplier + Flat damage) × Damage bonus% × Reaction multiplier (if applicable) × EM multiplier (if applicable) × Crit dmg (if it crits, otherwise this multiplier is 1) × Enemy resistance × Enemy defense. Shenhe's quills buff the "Flat damage" part of this equation, similar to how things like zhongli's HP scaling or kokomi's burst buff their own damage. Flat damage is in the part of the equation I like to call "Attack power" section (which is the Character atk × Talent multiplier + Flat damage). As an example, let's say that we have a character with 1,500 atk and a talent w/ a 100% multiplier and another talent with a 300% multiplier. The character's Attack Power for those attacks will be 1,500 (1.5k × 1) and 4,500 (1.5k × 3) respectfully. The actual damage we see on screen from those attacks might be around 5,000 and 15,000 damage, respectfully, due to all of the other multipliers. I think a high investment shenhe should be able to give a flat damage buff of 3,000. So if we buff our example character with just this, their Attack power becomes 4,500 and 7,500, with their actual damage getting buffed to 15,000 and 35,000.

Rather than wasting pity on 5* that isn't as good rosaria also give crit rate bonus. Shenhe aoe is so small it's quite hard to use it against moving enemy

She’s an alright filler, but ultimately c6 Rosaria is marginally better purely from 20% res decrease rather than 15%. Sure Shen also gives 15% bonus dmg, but a well built support rosaria can give 20% attack and 15% crit rate, which lets you increase crit dmg by a solid chunk.

what i do is ill land on the floating rock just above the arena, i let the two monsters do their thing all theydo is hit the floating debris, then after they leap i jump down and attack the ice one. the electric one will jump on the pillar and stay there .all he does is lob electric balls at you. you can dodge them. i use this time to take down the ice monster, then the electric one is left. after that its easy. i use a modified sukokomon build, but i swapped sucros for kadehara with a sacrificial sword. his jump plunge attacks help you dodge the homing electro balls from the electric monster.

I don't understand why people are complaining about the quota tbh. It's not like it's multiplicative, it's additive, so you get the same extra damage for each instance of cryo. Stack that up for 3 characters and if you have like 3k dmg additive, you basically have the potential to do 63k dmg per e skill. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm still kinda bummed on her ult though, it could've been better, like added small healing based on talisman quotas or something. I think people are too fixated on big number = good character.

@@panzerburgerwafflemaker That's where we differentiate. I love quickswap, and my Ayaka-Yunjin-Shenhe-Diona team is doing numbers with pretty much 100% uptime on all their ults. That said, I agree that the quota splitting is very restrictive with forcing Mono cryo for a team. But I doubt Mihoyo is going to give 28 stacks upfront if that were the case, since teams, especially Permafreeze aka Ganyu/ Ayaka is going to get even more broken. That being said, I do agree that no split quotas would be better, I'll take 14-20 quotas if Mihoyo were generous.

just thought i'd throw my two cents in, but i've been playing with ayaka recently (lv.80 & 8/7/8 at the time of story) and i so happened to match up with a shenhe one time. she basically doubled my ayaka's cryo damage and that'll be my respect for shenhe mains for forever :thumbs_up: (it's worth mentioning that my ayaka also is 80 unascended, and has a 50/213 crit ratio - 81/213 with harbinger buff, and about 1/5k attack, so ayaka isn't super weak on her own LOL)

Hey Moga! I love your videos and more relatable commentary then some of the giga whales around. I thought I’d share how Shenhe buffs mathematically :D Shenhe buffs “Personal DMG” (PD). PD is scaling unit (attack/def/hp) multiplied by the talent multiplier. So let’s say we have a character with 2000 attack, a 300% talent multiplier, 150% bonus dmg, and 200% crit dmg. 2000 * 3 = 6000, which is your PD All together with character stats looks like this: 2000 * 3 * 2.5 * 3 = 45,000 ID (imaginary dmg. Dmg calculated before accounting for enemy defense and resistance) So without shenhe’s buff we have 45k. Let’s do the same math as before, but this time Shenhe is increasing PD by 20% via an icy quill: 2000 * 3 * 1.2 = 7,200 PD All together: 2000 * 3 * 1.2 * 2.5 * 3 = 54,000 The 1.2 there is shenhe’s buff. It’s the raw PD with an additional 20% slapped on. As I’m sure you know based on how you talked about damage in the video, the earlier in the equation you can increase a factor, the higher it scales down the line. That’s why things like talent levels and (situationally) high attack stats can result in higher damage numbers than raw crit dmg This is how Zhongli’s HP to damage passive works. Same for Thoma’s passive, as well as how weapon passives such as Eye of Perception, Cresent Pike, and the skyward series work, but those apply as a separate instance of damage with it’s own scaling based on weapon conditions rather than adding into the total dmg equation. I love how your strategy for the boss is the opposite as mine. I go in with hutao, xingqiu, raiden, zhongli, kill the ice one very fast, once he's dead electro gets off the wall and does the middle thing and then I just kill him. The electro one only gets to be on the wall for a few seconds and it's on the other side of the ring, and he doesn't get back on it after the middle thing, so this way I completely avoid getting hit by the shield resistant balls.

I'm pretty sure her additional damage gets added during the flat attack part of the calculation, and gets modified by things like the triggering character's cryo damage bonus and crit damage and sutff. Which is why it's a bigger boost to Ayaka than say like Diona (although seeing Diona hit like 10k paws is pretty freaking funny). Edit: Also, if you get her to C6, I want to see how she does turning random characters into main cryo dps. Like, using Chongyun to make Zhongli or Keqing into an insane cryo dps ;)

The quota ruins everything. If the quota didnt exist she would be a must-pull for Cryo dps users but right now its questionable whether she is worth it. I doubt we are getting any cryo units compatible with Shenhe's buff either because the next region is Sumeru and we severely lack any dendro units so i expect the same incident with polearm impact where they mass release a bunch of dendro characters to even out the roster.

That 63 uses Shenhe's Attack only , the Crit and Crit dmg are calculated from the caracter that triggers the Quill

Ive only managed to get her to lvl 60 at 444 talents with a lvl 70 wavebreakers and she's been doubling (or close to) my ayaka's dmg in certain instances. My only complaint is its a bit inconsistent and ayaka chews through the quills pretty quickly. I bet the reason they designed shenhe with the quill mechanic is precisely to make sure at c0 she wouldn't be turning ayaka into a walking ice age. The rotation is going to take some time getting used to but with bennet and a viridescent user, they can really put out some outlandish damage.

I fought the new boss with Eula/Raiden/Kokomi/Diona. Eula's burst killed two at once and then Raiden finished off the other. I never saw them jump on the towers.. This team found the fire dude harder.

The new boss fight is only two of those at once. And that's when they'll use the walls, unlike when you do the fight for the quest. Was an annoying surprise for me, as I'd been progressing through the area with a team of 3 archers + Kokomi, and then go to get some mats for Shenhe and, well, had a bit of an inability to do much to the wall ;)

shenhe acually makes mono cryo really viable, a team like shen ayaka chongyun diona is acually really good and ive seen teams with rosaria instead of ayaka easily 36* the abyss as f2p(my friend did this) shenhe is acually really good if you use cryo a lot otherwise shes really bad. and since shenhe gives stacks to everyone the more cryo units you have the better, it might also be good to sitch one out for kazuha/kokomi. and the way shenhes stacs works is acually it adds on to your scaling. it works like this: you take the atk of your cryo dps muliiplied by the scaling of their attack plus shenhes atk times her multiplier thren you multiply by crit and cryo dmg and other buffs. ((cryo dps atk*scaling of their atk)+(shenhes atk*scaling of her skill, at 10 its 0.8))*crit stat*cryo dmg bonus of character procing stacs*other buffs such as mona or vv. sry if this is confusing but hope i was clear enough Noah Kaul

I love to play shen with chon :) i jot constantly 9K Atacks goes up to 11K caused by chon elemental skill. If you run snow set on her it gives extra crit on attacking cryo + cryo resinence (+18% Glad) mine got 56 crit rate 125 crit dmg 3900 Atack I really think since you got crit rate through Set and team comb you don't need to focus on that so go for Atack % it scales better with her burst
