They're horrifically awful terrible voice overs, this is one of the reasons I still to this day cannot bare to play the Yank American inferior Xb port of the superior native Dreamcast original where they characters all sound a lot better, especially the UK Dreamcast version. Unfortunately some idiots (mostly from America) have become so used to the shite VOs that they have come to believing its part of the 'Shenmue way' now, and so purposely made the voice overs in Shenmue III just as bad, even though by now there is no excuse for shit voice acting in this day and age.
