Dude I'm glad I'm one of the only people who've seen this, I absolutely loved Shenmue as a kid, it changed the way I understood video games. Congrats man, I really don't know how you did this!!!!

I can't believe these mechanics are gone in Shenmue 3 it's what made it feel like playing a martial arts movie :( DISAPPOINTING WHEN THE GAMES TAUGHT US THESE THROW MOVES WE CAN'T USE ANYMORE AND THEY WERE PART OF THE STORY!!!?

I agree. In Shenmue 3, Ryo is like the protagonist of a kung fu flick, who starts out weak and trains hard to take on the main villain in the end. The problem is, that Ryo has already proven himself against everyone from small-time hoods to well-trained martial artists time and again, which doesn't make sense why he has such a hard time fighting against common thugs in Shenmue 3.
