That's going back painting lexan with a brush, the paints in the UK stank but they never came off. Interesting way to paint a sort of brushed on glitter Pollock. Cool the Proline paints go straight into the airbrush, I always spray my hands :-) The masking seemed a lot thicker than normal the way it came off, then it popped. Going with only a few stickers was they way to go.

Thanks it came out so nice! yeah the clear covering was hard to get off for some reason? proline paints work great. Now I want to experiment more with this paint style!

Back in the late 80s they had a paint called Razzle Dazzle that sprayed crazy glittery colors. I did a Rc car body with it but I didn’t get any pictures of it. We didn’t carry a camera everywhere back then…. It was wicked cool though!
@ShenRC22 күн бұрын
Yeah I bet those paints were awesome back then!

I won't lie, in the beginning I was very worried. It looked like someone had been snorting glitter and sneezing on the body. Once you got more on it I was a little less worried but still unsure. once the black went on it came alive and looks freaking cool! I would have never thought to go that route but it turned out great and you definitely have a 1 of 1 Hornet right there. Even if others do the same thing there is no way it will be the same. You are one adventurous wild man when it come to paint but they always seem to work out! This one really did!!!
@ShenRC22 күн бұрын
You know me I like the glitter flake metal effect! This is so cool! I was going to do three colors of purple and it would probably have looked awesome also, I did learn from the rear wing that leaving the markings a bit further apart so more of the body color gets shown in-between makes it look better I think. Now i want to play around with this painting style with more colors!! Thanks Addam.

Friggin killer! Love the glitter camo! This may be a dumb question...could you add the decals on the underside of the body before painting? Just thinking if bashing the heck outta it, would the decals start to take a beating.
@ShenRC22 күн бұрын
Thanks it looks even better in person. The only way to put decals in the inside would be to stick them on from the inside with the clear I used but they probably wont hold up your better off with them on the outside.

@@fishn365 Hi they used to sell like a paint glue you could cut out photos or anything from magazines you would brush the stuff on the photos and then stick it inside the clear bodies.. probably can still do that with the clear primer stuff I used if you wanted to?
@fishn36522 күн бұрын
@ShenRC Yeah..maybe you're thinking of Mod Podge? I watch a fishing lure maker who uses a liquid masking fluid for when he air brushes hang carved lures. He paints it on, sprays colors, then it just lifts off. Kinda like rubber cement.
