Great job Andy. Love seeing hornets in non box art👌

I love the colour you've painted that Hornet in mate, looks fantastic! As for the Hornet Evo, I kind of like it, but as you alluded to it just doesn't have the 'character' of the original.

Much smoother, though even just watching the understeer is noticeable. It was similar with the OG Hornet too tbh. I used to chuck a tire weight in the noise. It helped. When I used to drive my OG Hornet way back when (and little else) I developed a habit of using a tiny bit of reverse going into corners to skid the car arround a bit. Good vid.

The original cannot be replaced but this one seems to be a great version of the original! I really like the fun livery change you did, that was a cool touch!

Yeah the original Hornet will always be the legend it is but great to see the Evo as a nod to the Hornet! Looks great Andy and interesting side by side comparison 👍 Cheers buddy.

It does look good and looks as though it does handle a lot better. Cancelled my order though as unsure I would use it as hardly use my other buggies

Hi. Love it. Can’t wait till mine comes early next year in Australia. Can I ask what radio you are using. Interested in a stick radio to make me feel like Iam back in the 80s, Thanks

I do like that body you've done Andy, really cool. I wouldn't mind getting one of these. Like you, I love the DT02 so hapy that is the grsrbox on this. 👍🏻

I swear the way the instructions tell you to build the front shocks is wrong. Like the springs want to fall out in stock form. I shortened them from the inside with the longer shaft spacers and put two hole pistons in the rear. Steers a thousand time better like that. I like it, i like the old one too.

That’s a great tip ! I’d certainly lower it if I was racing it indoors. I’m gonna try stiffer springs first mainly on the rear that should help it rotate more in the corners

Looks great Andy 😍 Santa's getting me an original kit for Xmas.. As a kid I remember my friend had one which was the first Tamiya I ever saw and it was light years ahead of my Nikko Fireball 😂 hopefully I will win the RC elf's Evo 🤞 cheers for the chance 🙂

Cracking job 👌 i think it would be good to see the evo on the track against a stock chassis, same motors. Just to see how much better it is 👍 all in the name of science of course 😁

How well did it do on the track?
@andyrobinsonrc248016 сағат бұрын
Yeah it was pretty nice on track and that was out the box with no set up work certainly quicker than a normal hornet

That's because they may make more evo versions of the classics doesn't mean they should stop making the originals.

I doubt Tamiya will stop selling the hornet or grasshopper must be their most popular manufactured kit to date
