@@btsis76 uhm.. it was 2015.. light sticks were barely known at that time none of the groups had them. Big Bang were the first ones to introduce light sticks in that year and followed by other groups.

Lightsticks have been a big part of kpop since 2nd gen, every group had a lightstick - although not as fancy as they are now - and the idea of black oceans was VERY much a thing before 2015. Girls Generation had the most infamous black ocean incident in 2008. Big Bang did introduce the idea of the fancy lightstick, but that was well before 2015.

Looking at this now, you can tell they were so damn nervous. Tiny slip ups with choreo, some awkward interactions, small forgotten parts, etc. But the fact that never once do the girls sing off key and that they still _slayed_ the performance just shows how amazing this group would soon become!

Two of my favourite things about this: (1) The change in Solar’s expression from 0:13 (I’ve never seen her this nervous and unable to hide it) to 3:16 (she knows they slayed!). (2) Wheein missing the beginning of her adlib at 2:55. I think of it as a massive flex. They’re on stage as rookies in front of the entire Korean music industry, and they’re singing live, with so much sass that they can miss their adlibs and recover and you won’t notice unless you know the song. It doesn’t matter how many times I watch this performance. It gets me in the feels every time, and I cry.

actually if u see in different music videos/shows wheein is recognized. I think they all just rotate it around. But yea wheein is definitely equally as beautiful as the rest of her sisters. In fact i think solar is the least to be shown close up in a lot of videos.

Jung p I've been watching kpop for 10 years. and this was their first time on Gaon awards after debuting for half a year. the camera shots they got in this particular performance was ridiculous. you barely see their faces and the reason why i pointed out wheein is because the industry didn't know them yet since none of them were famous, so most likely they choose who to take only by their faces. that's why i think she didn't get camera shots in here. but in general the whole thing is a disrespect to mamamoo in my opinion
