Here in the UK, that would be called Cottage Pie because it's made with beef. Shepherd's Pie is made with lamb mince (you should find a recipe and try it too: it's every bit as good).

In Quebec, shepherd's pie is A THING. Everyone has eaten some, it's a traditional recipe. I'm impressed at how different HelloFresh's recipe is. and so much more complicated. and...doesn't seem as great? Our pie. literally: hamburger steak. corn. mashed potatoes. That's it. (you can put your own twist by putting whatever you want else in it. but that's the basics. peas are commonly added. onions too.) slight cook the hamburger steak to take out the pink. cook and mash the potatoes WITHOUT THE PEEL. put in a dish in order: meat, corn, potatoes and cook it in the oven. Done. Perfection.
