My hot take is that 2025 is going to be the year of the Fighting Nerds, I think both Carlos Prates and Caio Machado could be champions by the end of the year, the latter being the most likely. The only member if that team I'm not quite sold on yet is Bruna Brasil and that's more because much as I like Molly McCann, I don't think she's very good and neither do the UFC considering they are bringing back a girl who was 0-4 in the promotion just to get her a win. I also think the UFC needs to get Dakota Ditcheva as soon as possible while she's undefeated and the iron is hot. Have Shevchenko fight Fioret and have Ditcheva debut in a high profile bout against Grasso who is in a weird spot after the trilogy with Shevchenko. It's a bit of a gamble, but could work out well. I also just hope Suarez doesn't win the strawweight title purely because it's such a coin toss if she could ever make it to the cage to defend it. I know that division has slowed for new contenders, but I think this fight could come back to bite the promotion. Anyway that's my two pence, hope you guys had a good Xmas and new year, looking forward to the preview for first event of the year even though the card is rubbish, lol.
