Are we looking at the same product? I replayed it twice and thought Dr. Idriss said the Vit C cost 15.00 which did seem unusually inexpensive for a Dermatologist brand. I think I totally misunderstood though...because on her site it sells for 58.00 per 1.7 oz Jar. A little steep for my wallet. It is comparable in price to some of the others she put forward. I am sure it is awesome though. I truly do enjoy watching Dr. Shereene's videos. She is full of helpful advice. If I lived in NY...I'd probably see her for a procedure of some sort...in the future.

Exactly right! The vitamin C face serum and sun screen from litteleextra rice berry have really helped my skin. In the past fifty days, they're the only things that have worked for me. I've already finished 1 bottle of each of them. With my dry sensitive skin and my tendency to not do much for it, these have been a lifesaver. They feel non greasy and soak into my skin easily. My complexion appears brighter, more even, and younger. Even blemishes and acne marks are starting to fade. I've noticed my skin is smoother and more hydrated Now I'm excited to find a face toner that works well for my skin too.

Such a helpful breakdown! One serum I love with Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (with 3% Vitamin E and 2% Ferulic Acid) is Peter Thomas Roth’s Potent-C Power Serum. It has a high vitamin C percentage at 20%, but I’ve never found it irritating and I have relatively skin. I think it is because of all the moisturizers. It feels nice on the skin-and it’s not sticky like Skinceuticals. It also comes in a pump. Only downside is that it can separate after you’ve had it a while. Not sure if that means it’s losing potency or not.

If anyone is looking for a less expensive THD serum, Vanicream has one for sensitive skin for about $20. I just bought it, so I don't know about the results. But, it has a 5% concentration of THD ascorbate and ceramides, and it comes in an opaque tube with a pump. It's definitely missing the bells and whistles that the pillow talk one has, but I'm still excited to try it.

Thank you Dr. Idriss for your knowledge on skincare. I also find that the highest form of vitamin C comes from fruits, since the skin is an organ, it absorbs all the Vitamin C from the fruits like crazy, I do love juicing oranges, papaya and all fruits since they're very high in Vitamin C, my skin literally glows just like how the best serums work. (I got it done once n I was too scared to go back because it was so painful since the needle was pretty much going against orbital bone). I used Timeless 20% but it made my skin very dry. I went down to the 10% formulation and although better, still made my skin dry. I think I’ll try the other types of Vitamin C instead.

This is extremely helpful and informative. the DISAPPOINTMENT I felt after searching for a vitamin C serum that suits my skin (which is the inactive type preferably SAP or THD) and not finding a single brand available for me is immense. They all go CRAAZY with the pure vitamin C! No mercy for acne prone skin 😢

I haven’t tried it yet (I’m about too) but I also have acne prone skin, and Vanicream Vitamin C serum or moisturizer had THD specifically! Maybe that one would be good?

Dr Idriss, I have been using for several years Isdin Vitamin C Ampoules and love them. I also LOVE the packaging, it's in a glass ampoule, You use it up in 3-4 days. I would love for you to review this product. For clients that can not afford Isdin I sometimes recommend Vichy Vitamin C Ampoules, they don't have the added moisture to them like Isdin but also I would like for you to review. Thanks.

In a zombie apocalypse I would save my family and Skinceuticals Phloretin CF. I noticed a dramatic improvement in my skin and not the irritation I had with CE Ferulic.

I shifted from The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid Suspension 23% with Sodium Hyaluronate to The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%. I wonder if this is L-ascorbic acid? I probably should shift soon. Thanks for this super thorough (and entertaining) update on the essential daily Vit C!

Love this!! Can you do another video on your products with facial tools such as near infrared light therapy (Omnilux), neon/argon wand (NuDerma), and NuFace mini!?!? I am just curious! I have been using all three and your products and I’m shocked with how much my skin has looked so healthy! But I know it’s your products that really changed it for the better! 💕🙌🏼

@@fahomedchowdhury5738 the new formulation is much less prone to that, but if you can keep it in a fridge you should. For me I just keep it in box away from direct heat and sunlight. And to try not to keep it around for too long. I always use it up within 3 months of opening.
