Your apartment is lovely. Here are my suggestions: place your bed at the corner where you put your clothes, head of the bed against the wall. Then move your mirror closer to the window. No need to buy a sofa /coffee table, instead put your mat, your chair closer to the window and buy some easy plants (such as bird of paradise) and put them nicely near the window, imagine sitting on the floor mat, closer to the window. You can place some cushions on the floor mat when you are having your makeup. Hope they are helpful ☺️

But also prices in Hong Kong and South Korea are insane,here in Cape Town it's not alot,Like I know South Africa money is half of Hong Kong,and our money is rand,so one rand exchange in HKD is 50c and 1 HKD exchange to rand is 2 rand,but in Cape Town,so in general an apartment in South Africa is about 2000-3500 rand, that's about 1000-1550 HKD,so yes we lucky and I know people think South Africa isn't at the standards as USA and Europe but you be surprised how advance South Africa is,we more modern then most of Europe

Dengan renting 630rb won untuk apartemen yg (sepertinya) ga se tiny di HK dan nyaman bgt tuh worth bgt 😆 secara di HK dgn harga yg sama cuma dpt space buat tidur doang, ya khaaan. So happy for you Sheren.

It seems these flats are much bigger and cheaper than HK. It seems you’re also a handywoman, since you can use the electric drill to install curtains
@sherendev
@sherendev Жыл бұрын
yes trueee but there are other places that are similar to HK flats size too. this one, it’s very decent but still cheaper than HK flats (apart from the deposit fee of course). also i’m not a handywoman i just have no choice LOL

@sherendev
@sherendev Жыл бұрын
hellooo! i'm studying at SNU now and i don't really wanna commute for so long, so i got mine at the nearby area :)) it's pretty far away from the city centre actually... i'd suggest you to find similar type of apartments near your school (or work) area. actually this "officetel" model is really common in korea, have you tried looking at Zikbang app?
@verzire
@verzire Жыл бұрын
@@sherendevwow! thanks for recommending me such useful website, though it's all written in hangul, glad that Google translate helped me navigate through the web. How much do you pay for deposit? I'm looking for a place near Gongdeok area.
@sherendev
@sherendev Жыл бұрын
yeah unfortunately it's all in korean :') i think once you get the idea about the keywords it'll be easier. and you can just send msg to different realtors with a template (like which area, your budget, preference etc). i'm paying KRW 10mio for the deposit (it's crazy), but usually officetel is around that price. also - not sure if it'll help but i have a video about my apt hunting process, you can also check it! :D
@verzire
@verzire Жыл бұрын
@@sherendev OMG!! I just watch your apartment hunting video, it's that challenging hunting for housing in Seoul. Getting rejected by landlord just because of being a foreigner. 😥I hope my employer will arrange for me a nice place to live in. The amount of deposit is shockingly expensive. I thought 1000/65 means 1000k or 1million won/month, it turns out to be 1000만/65만

Sister, by doing part time job in korea, can anyone bear the expenses of living in an apartment until he/she gets a stable job....? 🙃
@sherendev
@sherendev 7 ай бұрын
hi personally i am not too sure :( i don't really know the average hourly wage for part time workers, also part time here requires fluency in korean so i never really check. my advise is to plan your budget by finding an affordable apartment that doesn't require expensive deposit money...
