EVERY high-gain amp should have both Presence (Low-Pass) and Resonance (High-Pass) controls at the output section. They're hugely-useful for matching the head to different cabinets, or to the rooms of different venues. Glad to hear these are on the models!

Almost pulled the trigger on a used 44 a few days ago. Glad I didn’t. Own the v40 combo and been looking for a gainier amp to pair with it. The 25 combo looks sick

I have actually chosen to purchase the amp and have been using it now for a few days love it and running it and 35 W mode seems to be the way to go. It’s more than enough and actually I like it in the 35 W mode it seems to just have a lot more juice. I guess because I’m accessing the peak performance at that Rating and it is plenty for just about anything you could ever want to do. I can’t imagine ever needing the full hundred watts, however I wonder will this allow the amplifier to have a longer life and make my tubes last longer or will it work them harder because I am pushing it hard at the 35 W mode versus Open it opening it completely up the volume in 35 W mode allows me to get even bedroom tones it’s truly fantastic thanks really happy I purchased this. I was concerned about build quality, but I am more than satisfied. Thanks again. Great work Martin. Great demo too as you totally convinced me to choose this over the Friedman, as you will see in the previous comment thanks guys 23:31

As a owner of V44 I think all the new features are great and well thinked! The biggest issue with my amp is its "dark" sound and the difficulties to cut through the mix with a Les Paul (a little bit better with single coil), I hope the new presence switch would help for that! Also the two separated master volumes are a great feature... very needed.

Well, if you turn presence on max and treble about 3:00 o'clock, it's fat and bright at the same moment, cuts beautifully through the mix.

@The Rover is your Les Paul maybe dark sounding? I had the same problem with Les Pauls until I found the secret recipe. 550k pots, Faber hardware (the most vintage correct stuff out there, most other stuff is shrill and bassy in comparison), and pickups set low without being thin. Transformed all of my Lesters.

​@@burt2800 No, it's not a particularly dark Les Paul, but as you know, LP are not the brighter guitars out there. There's just a lack of mid-high frequencies, which, for example, isn't found on Marshall amps. Sometimes I use an EQ pedal to pump up the mid-highs and it helps a bit, especially on the cleaner rhythm parts which tend to disappear in the mix

I read they revamped the whole Sherriff design. I returned my 44 because it took a long time to dial in, but more importantly, if you turned the gain or master up or down a notch, you had to redial every knob to get your tone back. I'm very hopeful for the new 100.

I am just curious as I have a victory 4 x 12 with vintage 30s. I am wondering what do you recommend in the one by 12 as I would like to use it with a one by 12 in certain situations because the one by 12 is easier to carry lol but I bought the 4 x 12 for home really loving the aunt and glad I got it. The Sheriff 112 would work well with this family, it has a Celestion Vintage G12T-75 which we have paired with the family. One thing to remember about the power rating that will be needed with the cab, a super sheriff into a 112 will create issues as it is too powerful for the cab. If it's a Sheriff 25 then this will be fine. Thanks Victory

I bought a Super Sheriff and, I don’t know, I think maybe I just don’t like the voicing. I loved the Sheriff 44 but the loop was unusable, so I bought this one without hearing clips and it just doesn’t get that buttery but cutting tones I got out of the 44. The Super seems looser, furrier, and harsher. I’ve used a both a Redback and G12-65 loaded cab so far. Thinking of maybe trying some Vintage 30’s to see if that will tighten it up.

I want to love Victory amps but almost every one has had a caveat - Super Jack, one of the best lead tones I’ve heard mated to an unusable amount of feedback - Super Kraken, killer refined 5150 tones mates to a crazy loud volume taper and super low clean headroom - Sheriff 44, killer plexi tones, unusable effects loop. The Super Duchess and Duchess Deluxe were both really great in my experience, if I was in the market for a single channel amp.

Why is there so little content about these amps online? No one tested these, no reviews, barely no marketing at all. Is it because of the Royal Mail strike and that no one could get their hands on these? I won't think about purchasing one with only one and a half Rabea video...

I own the VX100 and I love the small size of that beast. The sounds of the Sheriff Family is awesome, but that full sized head looks absolutly horrible... Who wants such a big amp? I don't get it... Doesn't matter, keep it up!

Hi wanted to tell you first and foremost. I am very much enjoying my sheriff 25 head master volumes work amazingly well affect loop works great too. I can truly get beautiful tones at bedroom volumes no attenuator this amplifier truly does work headroom two bedroom and no doubt has the glassiest gain staging I’ve ever seen as it rolls through the power ramp. It just gets smooth and glassy and the blue notes roll out, unbelievable smooth way. Truly you did work with this amplifier. I am curious can the sheriff 25 switched to 66 even if necessary changing the sockets for the tubes just curious thanks. 24:50 24:53

Hi Fabio, The Super Sheriff has a single input and two channels each with it's own modes, whereas the 44 had two inputs and two channels. Also the sound is different we have added more gain to the updated range so you don't need an extra pedal to get that 80's hot rod sound. These are the main differences. Thanks Victory

How will the 25 hold up in a live setting with a four piece rock band (two guitar players)? Can it retain some of the Hendrix’y tones without getting drowned out by the rest of the band?

We think 25 watts would be plenty for this setting, using the vintage side channel at the higher volumes will get that hendrix style sound, thanks Victory

Maybe it’s the epidemic of sh*t KZbin demo’s, by people that don’t know what they’re doing, but I have yet to hear a Victory amp get a killer classic EVH-esq tone. Which is a shame, given the old Cornford’s were one of the best amps ever made. I had higher hopes for these amps. Maybe with more tweaking it’s possible….

the old sheriff was the least exciting piece of gear for me and i collected all the other v4 pre amp pedals..maybe they`ll update the v4 sheriff pedal also, i would give it a second try for sure 🦾🦾
