Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective Vol. II (Sega CD) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

A playthrough of Sega''s 1992 FMV mystery adventure game for the Sega CD, Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective Volume II.
The gameplay is identical to the other two games in the series. It was also released on the PC and the TurboGrafx-CD. Granted, this is the worst looking of the ports, but I was in the mood for some Sega CD. And there you have it.

I opted to ignore the score in favor of providing a more complete look at the details Sherlock can sniff out for each case. If going for the best score, the game can easily be finished in about a third of the time that I took to play through this.

NintendoComplete This is a super old reply.. But awesome work on this game play.. This should be another game they should bring to ps4 like they just did (night trap). I was in highschool when Sega CD came out. It was a revolutionary thing to bring Interactive video games to life. Classic man..!!! Brings back memories 👌

I still say the judge from the first game was the most effective. The voice actor had the voice and demeanor for it, and I still find it incongruous that the judge in games 2 and 3 seems to already know the answers. I also liked the back and forth between Holmes and the judge. On a more positive note, I enjoyed The Case of the Pilfered Paintings and, to my knowledge, this is the only place on KZbin I've been able to find The Case of the Dead Munitions Magnate. Thanks much.

One of my favorite Sega CD games from back in the day! Shame I didn't realize in time there were two other installments in the franchise before moving away from video games for good after '95. Remember A LOT of trial-and-error the first several times I played this one, lol. Judge kept getting irate with me every time I got my deductions wrong... XD

Great video. I'm glad someone uploaded all 3 games. Having said that, there is something you should know. Your video description contains an error. The second case is "The Murdered Munitions Magnate." Your description says "The Banker's Final Debt." That case is from the 3rd game.

+Irategamefan The fewer moves it takes you to finish the game, the lower and better your score is. Sherlock's score is a sort of par you're meant to do better than

+Siegfried39ify The Turbo version appears to have quite a few more colors in its video (with more detail and less dithering without posterization), and I've never had any lag on it. Weird. I will say that the interface is much better on the Sega CD version though, by far. For Vol II at least. There was a big jump in quality from the first to the second.
